Wow what a trip I posted in here almost 6 years ago. My favorite bands have changed a bit since. I think I'll do an updated list. This list has no priority as I like them all pretty much the same.

1. Dark Tranquillity
2. Arch Enemy
3. Children of Bodom
4. Megadeth
5. Fischerspooner
6. Autokratz
7. IAMX
8. Testament
9. Iron Maiden
10. (old) In Flames

I'm rather selective with what I listen to even with my favorite bands. When I say I like Megadeth I mean there's a handful of albums I listen to and I enjoy seeing them live. The only bands on the list I like every album for have no more then 3 out currently. Most of them have tapered off for me. Dark Tranquillity is really the only metal band on the list that I feel releases solid work that can be deemed on par with or better then their prior releases every time.

5. Nine Inch Nails
6. Kevin McMahon (Prick, Lucky Pierre)

Great stuff to be listening to non-stop. Iggy's the man. The Legacy Edition of Raw Power is worth getting if you don't have an original vinyl copy. The Bowie mixes are so much better than what Iggy did with the album in the '90s.

The Idiot has crawled to my number one favorite album spot, I believe. There's just something about it: its unique sound and mood, the vocal deliveries, the often sparse yet ear-filling instrumentation—even the album cover is the coolest I've ever seen.

Every last second and sound is perfect.

Diamond Dogs has also started to become my favorite Bowie album because it has such a similar vibe to The Idiot, although in a glam sort of way.

As for my top ten list, take out Depeche Mode and put Kraftwerk at number nine. :p Been listening to them so much lately.

I have a different variety of songs and artists, but I mainly get my song favorites if it was associated with something else in a movie soundtrack, or I accidentally found one looking up an artist when trying to search for a song I couldn't identify the name. And yes some do include head-banging music. They are:

KMFDM - "Megalomaniac" "Sturm & Drang" "Blitzkrieg" "Anarchy" "DIY" "Flesh"
"Ultra" "WWIII"

Rob Zombie - "Dragula" "Never Gonna Stop" "I Feel So Numb" "Meet The Creeper" "Living Dead Girl" "Demon Speeding" "Creature Of The Wheel"

Fear Factory - "Crash Test" "Cyberwaste" "A Therapy For Pain" "Genetic Blueprint from the PS1 game Test Drive 5"

Gravity Kills - "Enemy" "Falling" "Goodbye"

Van Halen - "Pretty Woman" "Humans Being" "Respect The Wind"

Smash Mouth - "All Star" "I Get Knocked Down"

Twisted Sisters - "Burn In Hell"

Kenny Logins - "Danger Zone - Theme To Top Gun"

Dir En Gray - "Child Pray"

Simple Minds - "Don't You (Foreget About Me)"

U2 - "Elevation"

Killswitch Engage - "End Of A Heartache"

Wang Chung - "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" "Fire In The Twilight"

Pitchshifter - "Genius"

Ray Parker, Jr. - "Ghostbusters"

Peter Cetera - "Glory of Love (Theme To Karate Kid II)"

Rammstein - "Halleluja"

AC/DC - "Highway To Hell"

Kula Shaker - "Hush (I Know What You Did Last Summer)"

Iron Butterfly - "In-A-Gotta-Da-Vida"

Pat Benetar - "Invincible"

Genesis - "Invisible Touch"

Tommy Lee - "Love Train (Final Destination 3)"

Slip Knot - "My Plague"

Rick Astley - "Never Gonna Give You Up"

Limahl - "The NeverEnding Story (Movie version)"

Fine Young Cannibals - "She Drives Me Crazy"

Coal Chamber - "Something (Told Me)"

Phil Collins - Sussudio

A-Ha - "Take On Me"

Taylor Dane - "Tell It To My Heart"

Marilyn Mansion - "The Fight Song (Resident Evil)"

Huey Lewis And The News - "The Power Of Love"

Edwin Starr - "War What Is It Good For (Rush Hour)" "Twenty Five Miles (Adventures In Babysitting)"

Power Station - "We Fight For Love (Commando)"

Oingo Boingo - "Weird Science"

Basement Jaxx - "Where's Your Head At?"

El DeBarge - "Who's Johnny (Circuit City)"

The Village People - "YMCA"

Partners In Kryme - TMNT OST

Baltimora - "Tarzan Boy"

ZZ Top - "Can't Stop Rockin'"

Japanese Anime theme songs: Akira, Crying Freeman Volume 5 credits, Blue Seed (Carnival Babel), Gunsmith Cats, Neon Genesis Evolution, The Heroic Legend Of Arslan, Ninja Scroll

So I have my prefrences, and with my MP3 like my taste in movies I am a person of wide varieties.

Wow... I'm pleasantly surprised to see the diversity in tastes on this forum. It seems like every forum I join everyone but me is hardcore into rap and death metal, both of which I can't stand.

But anyway, in no particular order...

The Beatles
The Beach Boys
The Zombies
Tears for Fears
Oasis
Keane
Maroon 5
Lily Allen
The Verve
Led Zeppelin

Which "dance" do you mean? Eurodance disco or Swedish dansband sons?
