Bootleg Movie Star Leo has a lighter green skin tone, dark blue headband, dark blue kneepads and elbow pads. 1992 Movie Star Leo may or may not have yellow and black spots.

It should be extremely obvious. Every bootleg I've seen has an insane look in their eyes and is much brighter than the originals. The originals were also made of a more pliable rubber that could actually bend. The bootlegs are all plastic I believe.
Really, if you think you might have a real one then you do. I can't imagine anyone mistaking one of the bootlegs for the real deal. |

Literally all you need to do is look at a picture online. It's like night & day.

One easy way to tell them apart is to look at the edge of the front shell: the original is yellow, like the rest of the front shell, the bootleg is green.

I could be way out here (and I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but this thread seems appropriate) but it seems to me that like 10 years ago if you searched eBay for TMNT figures you could be sure that 90% (maybe higher) of the search results were genuine product.
With the explosion of the TMNT adult collector market, there seems to be KO of everything now - NECA, Revoltech, Original Movie figures etc. I remember a day when you could eBay search for 'NECA Turtles' and you would be lucky if you got one hit of a Mirage figure. Ahh, simpler times...now I second guess every search result that is thrown up!

You probably have a 1992 original, but TTIUWP (This Thread Is Useless Without Photos).
