Nothing major to most, but I just got this book that is pretty special to me.
First of all...its my one and only Stan Lee SS Secondly...back when I used to buy random comics in the 90s (usually based on the covers), this one was always my favorite. I was very into Marvel trading cards and seeing these books with hologram cards on them to me was amazing. I always wanted at least one SL signature...and couldn't think of a better book!

Love the last comic book. I felt the same way about getting a stan lee signature but went with an art print instead.

very cool Stan Lee autographed book. i like the issue with the card. its a prim 90's example...especially with the holo card. it seemed like holocards were EVERYWHERE at that time.

Nice
Been fortunate to meet both Carrie and Mark, both at SDCC, over the years...

Thanks guys.....I am very proud to own it and have waited since April for it to come in! It's one of the higher priced items I've ever purchased, but I felt it was a good time to get it done before costs increase or maybe they stop doing cons.

Should I ask how much it cost then?
When I met them, Carrie's autograph was $30 and Mark's was $100 (which is the most I've ever spent on a signature by a long way).

$375......included in that are CGC costs, shipping, facilitator fees and creator fees. Mark is raising his price from $200-$250 next year....Carrie will be $60-$100 next year as well.....they are all going up!

Just checking back, I met Carrie in 2006 (first year I went to SDCC), and Mark in... 2009. So yeah, I can well imagine prices have gone up since then...
I've got most of my signatures on Decipher's old Star Wars CCG cards. Because a lot of actors were British, and many tournaments were held at conventions in the late 90s/early 2000s, you'd often be playing AND have the actors at the same venue somewhere else. So it made sense to get your cards signed by them! I've carried it on even though the game is long dead... https://www.flickr.com/photos/mayhem...57603543346959

Someone I know has got a far larger set of autographs on the cards, we're talking probably three times as big. He's missing a couple of signatures that I have mind you, and now impossible to get because the people in question have sadly died. Yes, the next European Celebration is at ExCel in London next year. Debating about buying a day ticket and going along, thing is, nothing has been announced yet (panels, guests etc), so it would be a bit of a blind purchase when picking a day heh. But I'm keeping an eye on it. One thing I forgot to mention before, was that the autograph business was very much in its infancy when I started having my cards signed. The actors in question (including Jeremy Bulloch, Kenny Baker, and Michael Sheard) were only charging £2-3 each. I think I spent about 20 quid getting 6-7 different cards signed by Jeremy at one show. God knows what that sort of thing would cost today
