Yes, that’s the 2 pack animated Casey.

Oooo, Triceraton is a biggie for me. I had dreams about that figure leading up to Christmas that year. He did not disappoint either, to this day he's still one of my favorites from the vintage line.

I guess with that in mind, though, I might need to wait for a Super7 version. Much like Slash, I'm not sure I'll care much for a cartoon version. I just want an update of the vintage figure.

Would you agree the original Playmates toy line was at its best when there were basic wave figures based off of the Mirage Comics comic book characters (1988 to 1990)?

I didn't read any of the comics until like 3 years ago so that never played into it for me (and I realize that admission immediately negates any opinions I'll ever have for some of you...). I like plenty of figures that came out post-'90. I do think the line started to become pretty scatter-brained in '91 with all of the sub-themes so yeah, '88-90 were the more focused and consistently good years.

I like figures made all the way up to '97 though.

Well, damn, guess I'm buying yet another set of turtles for those belt changes.
And here I was all excited I could finally get new foots without buying more turtles.

I think my custom April O'Neil influenced Neca to make the changes

It was convenient for the turtles and foot soldiers to be paired together by NECA. The top seller of the wave will double as the best current memorabilia for FW cartoon TMNT fans and that 2 pack is obviously the Bebop and Rocksteady one.

The Leo and Don 2 pack are almost perfect for adult collectors who could not find the Leo and Shredder pack.

It’s not everyday that you see modern memorabilia with characters from the Saturday morning version of the cartoon like Slash and Triceraton. Most people are familiar with the opening from the syndicated FW cartoon, though TMNT was still the best rated children’s cartoon of 1990 into 1991. I had no idea Retro Collection art was made for the Triceraton. Perhaps, the team at Nickelodeon will have new art made for the Triceraton 2 pack. The 2020s, overall, looks like it will be an excellent time for fans of the original Playmates toy line and FW cartoon.

Randy said on Twitter they're still working on it, and will hopefully be ready by the time wave 2 hits.

I wonder if this will be a more deluxe figure with a higher price point.

The face reminds me of the old Dinosaurs TV show.

He looks more prepared for a porno shoot than a battle.

Well that and all the feedback they got. The new sculpt is an improvement, and I especially appreciate that she's smiling. It's not perfect still, but much better.

Did you guys notice that Rocksteady and Bebop's jaws are articulated? I hadn't noticed that before.

It’s possible. I noticed the Bebop and Rocksteady pop-up standees with the two wave 2 turtles packs. This line is really taking off.

Love me some jaw articulation in my beastly action figures!
