Sports Talk

Is anyone a fan of the NFL?

The schedule for the playoffs this weekend (wildcard) are:

AFC:
Chiefs at Colts, 4:30 Saturday

Jets at Patriots 1:00 Sunday

NFC:
Cowboys at Seahawks 8:00 Saturday

Giants at Eagles 4:30 Sunday

Who does everyone root for, and who do you think is going to win these games?

I'm a Patriots fan so I'll root for them in that game. I think it's going to be close, but I think the Patriots can take care of the Jets this weekend

I like the New Orleans Saints in this and I hope it comes down to them and San Diego in the Super Bowl.

The Titans played so hard the last part of the season. Iwould have like to see them make a wild card spot. We'll have a great team next year though

Vince Young had a good second half of the season. But not great. If he can improve his passing numbers greatly, the Titans can become a formidable team. As it is, he relies on his legs too much. It works now, but it may not in a couple of years. Look at Michael Vick, the novelty of him is gone. Hopefully Young doesnt end up like that.

Vince is a rookie...He'll improve.

I went from sitting in the Colliseum (no, I refuse to say LP field) the first few games with Duct tape over my McNair jersey that read "taking applications" to being shocked and awed at the determination of that guy. I screamed my head off at the Patriots game....but it was all just too much

next year.

Yea, Vince is great...i think he'll turn out just fine in a year or two..

I'm also a big Bears fan...thnk god they got home field advantage throughout cause the way they are planning, they need every bit of help they can get...

The Saints have been alot of fun of this year...i hope they can make at least to the NFC CHampionship game ( vs the Bears of course)

The Colts- very, very disapointing the way they've ended the year...i really do hope they can get thier act together..if anything, just for Peyton

I hate the Patriots. 'Nuff said.

And Lastly, I really, really like the Chargers this year...I love LT, so I hope they do well as well..

Oh yea, and the Ravens....such a solid team. I'm so happy for Steve.

Everyone hates the Patriots, even in CT, which is in NE! I still haven't figured that out.

And I'm kinda glad the Colts are falling apart and loosing to not so great teams right now. It just shows that even if you have the best quarterback alive, you can't just depend on one guy and two good recievers to be a great team. Like the expression, theres no I in TEAM.

They're not falling apart that much...

23 to 8 at the two minute warning.

Well the Chiefs aren't that great of a team.

I'm reffering more to losses against teams like the texans.

Yeah, they lost but they weren't stomped. It happens. At least they made it to the playoffs.

What a weekend. Colts destroyed the Chiefs and it wasn't even because of Peyton Manning. How about that disapointment for the cowboys? They were all excited about their qb then he blows the game by a not holding the ball right for an easy game-winning field goal. My Patriots won this weekend and played very well so I'm not too scared for next weekend. The Giants almost beat the eagles and Eli didn't even play that bad! I can't wait for next weekend.

AFC:
Colts at Ravens: Ravens beat Colts by at least a TD

Patriots at Chargers: Best game of the weekend probably. This one is too hard to pick. I wouldn't be suprised either way, but I think the winner of this one will probably go to win the superbowl. But since I'm a pats fan, go patriots!

NFC:
Seahawks at Bears: This will be a good game and I think the seahawks are more likley to win.

Eagles at Saints: Can't wait for this one either. I think the Saints will win

I know. My grandpa lived in Texas for awhile and he was big Cowboys fan. He would SO mad if he saw Tony Romo mess up that snap.

The Colts did it with defense this time around.

I like what the Eagles have got going right now and I hope its a good game in New Orleans.

My predictions:

I see the Bears beating the Seahawks. The Hawks will be better than they were when the Bears busted them up earlier in the season, but i dont think even Shaun Alexander will be enough to help them out.

I like the Eagles over the Saints. The Eagles are on a roll, possibly the hottest team in the NFC. Westbrook can be a monster runner. They seem to believe.

I want the Colts to beat the Ravens. The Colts are a sleeper team in this years playoffs. Little hype about them this time around. Manning played terrible, and they still won. If he can get on track and the defense plays like they did against KC, they can win. Ask the "Greatest show on turf" Rams of a few years back, offense can win a championship.

Im hoping the Chargers bust open the Patriots. I hate the Pats, but i admit they are a good team. However, i fear "Martyball" may hit the Bolts, so of the four games this is the one im least certain about. I go with the Chargers though.

Anybody notice how much better last weeks NFC playoff games were? They both went down to the last minute.

Wow..some great games this past weekend...what a shame for Romo and the cowboys...

Anyways, thsi weekend are some VERY good games.

Ravens v Colts: wow, this should be interesting. I really like both teams alot (love both QBs) but I hope Peyton can pull it out. Either way, i think whoever wins here, will lose in their next matchup

Pats v Chargers: Now this should be good. I love LT and hope he runs all over the pats. As stated earlier, I hate the Pats, so I hope the chargers do them like the Gators did the Buckeyes...

Bears v Seahawks: The bears are my team so I hope they win. The seahawks dont look particularly great (niether do the bears fo rhtat matter) but hopefully they can pull it off

And lastly, I hope the Saints win. I like Brees and Colston and I hope they can take care of business...
