And yea, the Spurs seem to be just way too good. I think this next game will go to the Cavs, becuase they'll just be so fired up over there in Cleveland...that, and they'll probably start Gibson...but besides maybe that 1 game, the Spurs look like they'll be getting their 4th...I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if theres a sweep coming... |

The ratings are down 24%, I believe, from last year. And this is with thee amazing "King James". What's up with that? David Stern was quoted in an article after the ECF saying he was, "Very happy with the finals match-up." or basically, "Thank god Cleveland won and not Detroit, becasue Detroit-S.A. would make the ratings suffer". How's all that working out, Stern?
After game 1 I changed my mind from Spurs winning in 6 to Spurs winning in 4. I can't see the Cavs getting even 1 game. LeBrons supporting cast isn't doing anything. Gibson needs more playing time. But it's not their fault because LeBron isn't leading the way, he's played like garbage. |

From what I saw of game 3, LeBron didn't play like a "King"...more like a "Queen". He had chances late in the game to drive to the hole 1-on-1 and he passed it up to pick and roll with Anderson frickin Varejao. Why on earth would Varejao take the game tying shot with 10 seconds left, against Tim Duncan of all people. Varejao should just go away. Such a moron. What a terrible game. What a terrible series. Good thing it'll be over tomorrow.
I didn't most of the game because I was too busy watching Justin Verlander throw a no hitter. That was frickin awesome. He got some help from a great double play by Perez and Polanco. First time since '84 when they won the world series Will history repeat itself? I sure hope so. |

Yea the series is definately over...the ratings are down, but Im sure a good part of that is the asswhopping the Spurs have been handing out since game 1...I mean, who really wants to see that?
And I agree, the Spurs in 4...which is very, very sad... I can't wait for football season... |

SWEEEEEP!!!
What a series. LeBron was terrible down the stretch...couldn't grab a defensive rebound or handle an outlet pass in crunch time. Glad basketball is over. I can't wait for football season either. Not for the NFL (Lions blow), but college footbal mostly. Luckily football season starts early for me when NCAA '08 comes out in June...way excited for it because I have no games to play and little extra money to blow. |

Labron Lame was less than stellar to put it lightly. Why are the spurs so boring to watch.

Wooo Hooo Irvine stays alive in the CWS on the longest CWS game ever played! Holladay and Capriano delivered big time! I hope they win it all. I know it's wishful thinking but I would love to see it happen. I'll be going to the first game of the championship series on the 23rd down in Omaha so I hope I get to see them.
Sheesh, someone's still sore over the Pistons debacle...lol QUOTE]
You're damn right. All I heard was how boring the Pistons-Spurs would be and how the Cavs-Spurs would be so much more entertaining. Well guess what? It was the lowest rated Finals in history. So...yeah. |

The Oregon State Beavers made it into the CWS championship series last night by defeating the UC Irvine Anteaters.
Now the winner of NC tarheels and the Rice Owls will play the beavers for all the marbles. If anyone here cares about College baseball besides me, who would you like to see win the CWS. I want Rice! Go Owls.

So...yeah.
You are definately right. I was one of the ones who thought that the Cavs would be a more interesting watch but man was I wrong. Granted the thumping that the Spurs put on them every night made it almost pointless to watch. If it had been Spurs v Pistons, and the same whoopin happened (either way), it also would've been the lowest watched ever, probably with even less ratings... |

Lebron James is overhyped?! Whaaaaa? The Spurs were running 3 and sometimes 4 guys at him ALL series. They even had Duncan coming out 20 feet to slow him. Anyone would look less than stellar with that happening on a nightly basis. I agree with Terminator that any series where the other team looks completely outmatched isn't going to get watched.
Can't wait for football season either, Snackpants '08 isn't gonna hit until July 17 according to GI.

Attened the CWS championship series game one yesterday and it was so fun! Oregon State hit the $h*t out of the ball! It's a best of three series so another win today gives the Beavers the national championship. I'm pretty stoked to see them win back to back NC! Go Beavers!

Congratulations to the Oregon State Beavers! Winners of the College World Series.
Those kids hit the piss out of the baseball in every game of that tourney. Simply amazing what they were able to accomplish. Back to back national champions.
