I don't know. I guess that since Megaforce is PR's anniversary season, and Gokaiger is the anniversary Sentai, perhaps they might as well use Gokaiger for it somehow. I just wish Samurai didn't have to be stretched out two years and that way, we'd have already gotten Goseiger-based PR this year, and then a PR season based on Gokaiger next year. |

I don't see why they would care if they trail behind Sentai they always have. Do they want to just rush though Sentai to sell more toys?

I don't neccersarily think you have to do all the Sentai. Prior to having 20 ep seasons, 32 episodes was the norm for the last few years of the Disney era, and PR churned through them just fine. Your milage varies on how good those seasons were though.

But why should they care if they are trailing or not? |

Brian Ward tweeted from SDCC that the MMPR complete series set has sold out.
https://twitter.com/BWard028/status/224566438000738304 That seems to be a good sign, but it really is just the beginning. Hopefully the season 1-7 set will sell just as well at TimeLife. They may even do another mega set if it does. |

Well if you're in a store and you see someone pick up a MMPR DVD set off the shelves, you can probably at least inform them that there's something better just in case they might be interested. I know that's what I'll be doing.
Also, this is what TimeLife said about the seasons 1-7 set on Facebook: it's doing pretty well. We're pleased & happy because we think it's a great collection with the first core Saban years. So I guess that sounds good. Plus at this PR board that I frequent, a poll currently has 192 votes by those opting to take advantage of TimeLife's offer for the box set that covers seasons 1 through. They really are the vast majority, and that number is close to the amount of MMPR complete series sets that Shout! Factory was selling at SDCC (which would be 200) and they sold them all. So if many of those people still go through with ordering from TimeLife, that might be a good sign as well. |

I forgot to mention that a featurette involving the stunt team will be on the seasons 4-7 set.

For some reason or the other, the entry for the MMPR complete series set at Shout! Factory's site has been taken down. I do hope it's not permanent though.
Someone got some review copies of both the MMPR set and the seasons 4-7 set, and he has already done some good reviews on both. Mind you, as I type this, the review for the latter is a work in progress. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Complete Series http://blog.samuraicast.com/mighty-m...ox-set-review/ Power Rangers: Seasons 4-7 http://blog.samuraicast.com/power-ra...ox-set-review/ MMPR season 2's 52 episodes were split perfectly in half, so that's 26 episodes for each volume. The first two discs in each set have nine episodes while the third and last disc in each have eight. I like how season 2 was able to be separated where the second half starts off with the power transfer to newcomers Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. Plus in the third season, a new disc starts off Kat's first time as a ranger. I also like how Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers actually has its own disc in the MMPR season 3 set. It's five discs total, the first disc will have the first nine episodes, and the remaining three MMPR season 3 discs will have eight episodes. Then the last disc is all ten episodes of MMAR. Also, the version of "I'm Dreaming of a White Ranger" that will be on this set is the broadcast version, and not the longer version that was first released on home video. As for the special features, things like interviews were a given, but I'm especially glad that they were able to get direct-to-video releases and television specials on these sets for special features. The direct-to-video releases I'm most grateful for are The Good, the Bad, and the Stupid and the MMPR Fan Club video, and the Lost Episode special as far as television specials go. I've seen the other video releases before, as well as the Funniest Moments TV special, and even though they didn't grab me as much, I'm just glad that they're available for others to see. I'm sure I'll be pleased with interviews and what not, but now that I have a better idea as to what to expect, the only gripe I know that I'll have is that they weren't able to get all of the episodes in their original form. For instance, "Welcome to Venus Island" is the most crucial one. The international master of the episode has Jason and Zack's dubbed lines missing. I know the lines by memory, and where they go, but it would have been nice to have them intact on this set. |

I'm a little concerned about what he said about the Zeo Serial feature though. He describes the audio and video as going from good to decent at times. Someone even wondered if it was taken straight from YouTube, so I hope that's not the case.
