Would you ever get cosmetic-plastic surgery?

Not required for medical reasons and you had the money.

No. Not a chance. I might not be the most handsome man in the world but at least I'm 100% authentic flesh and bones.

Noo... Even if I don't entirely like all my features the way they are, I don't think I could ever get used to it if I changed anything. Would be too weird and doesn't sit well with my distaste for trying to be anything other than who I am.

Spoiler:
Really, 10 feet would be taking the plastic surgery too far.

Spoiler:
No one needs to do it from opposite sides of a room.

No.

It's a shame that a lot of celebrities have had plastic surgery who were already beautiful (what are they thinking?) yet people who you'd think could use it don't.

Makes no sense.

I might. I can think of a couple of minor things I'd like to fix. If laser eye surgery counts, that is one. I'd love to know what it's like to really SEE without glasses 24/7. Some dental work would be nice too. Would make me feel less uncomfortable about my smile.

Not sure I'd count that as plastic surgery since it isn't just some cosmetic thing, but definitely with you on that one.

Insurance companies consider LASIK to be cosmetic.

Figures they would. Probably do with anything they can get away with.

Sure, maybe it's someone's vision correction is minor, but after a certain point (say, if maybe you can't drive at all without), come on...

Why? It's not. That's like saying a knee reconstruction is cosmetic.

Never.
My imperfections identify me as me.

I refuse to get cavity fillings because I don't want something so unnatural on my person, so plastic surgery is a definite no.

I dunno, man, ask the insurance companies. But come on, be real. It's not nearly as important as a knee surgery. Glasses and contacts exist.

Eh, I've always had bad teeth so what's an infection gonna do? Worse comes to worse, I'll just get the tooth pulled. I can live without it.

Yeaaaah, you would want to get a cavity filling. Cavities are no joke and you should not be taking them lightly. I narrowly avoided having a large one and only caught it because my gums were bleeding around it. The worst that could happen from an infection is that you could get sick, and that is not hyperbole. A tooth filling is basically like a knee replacement, if we want to compare that deeply. It's not even remotely cosmetic.

I've actually had three dental surgeries, but they were necessary. Mostly to keep my mouth from getting overfilled, since it's rather small, and it would have cause complications galore, even with braces in the picture.

The last one of course was my wisdom teeth, with no silly anesthesia stories. Just stumbling to the car and dropping into bed when I was able. Then I got an ear infection while I was healing. That sucked.

And again, all were pretty much medically necessary to prevent problems from surfacing.

I've had plenty of ear/mouth infections. They've brought the absolute worst pain I've experienced in my life so far. You don't shrug that off, and you don't tempt fate with it. On top of tooth removal if you really think that's the right path, you still need to take antibiotics and medications first to heal the infection AND the surgery site - with the surgery itself probably being pretty expensive. All while making the dentist very, very annoyed with your disregard for what could have been a much simpler procedure.
