Purple cardback/magenta bricked trading card/punch tab/2nd half of 1993
Purple cardback/purple trading card that matches cardback/hang tab-1994/Slam Dunkin Don White Jersey would have apart if this set as the Walmart exclusive with no purple warning label.
Purple cardback/card & coin/hang tab-1995/1996
Purple cardback/coin/hang tab/1996
Purple cardback/purple warning label on top left (Walmart)-1996

Also, in my research,
Blue Cardback Movie Star Leo does not exist
Purple cardback Rat King with either Trading Card or Coin does not exist
Purple cardback Slap Shot Leo with either Card or Coin does not exist
Blue cardback- Early summer of 1993 (the multicolored brick era of 1988 - 1992 was behind us)
Purple cardback/no card no coin/punch tab- Mid to late 1994
Purple cardback/magenta bricked trading card/punch tab/2nd half of 1994

I’m going to guess that April and splinter are the only two that were released with every variation of the Purple Cardback

Correct. There is also no Movie Star Leo with trading card and no Movie Star Mike with trading card. Movie Star Don and Movie Star Raph did come with trading cards though.

The photo albums here:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/vaughnmichael/albums
show which ones came with card & coin, card only, and coin only

Is there something similar to this with the figures that do not include cards or coins?

There is some mid to late 90s TMNT reissued figures listed on DASH Action Figures (The Connection is Not Private):

https://www.collector-actionfigures....category=20727

I’ll look for some other action figure archives, in the meantime.

With the online guides available, you may not be able to do that.

I don’t know why the Virtual Ninja Turtle Museum has not updated their lists to include the pop-up mutant displays under 1990 and reissues under 1989 to 1997. There should even be a small list compiled for the 1998 to 1999 reissues.

Does anyone know if the Magenta Brick Shredder trading card came on a Purple cardback or was it only included in the dual-language Blue Cardback?

I don’t believe so, only the purple brick Shredder trading card for the US release:

https://myteefinestuff.com/product_i...d=8761&msize=1

All of the trading cards including the Ideal Shredder Magenta brick Shredder trading card are a part of this listing:

https://myteefinestuff.com/product_i...=10457&msize=3

Still, it’s difficult to tell if a purple brick Shredder re-release variant was sold with the Magenta brick trading card by Playmates because it isn’t sold through MyTeeFineStuff.

Figure Realm lists one US 1994 Shredder reissue and one International 1994 Shredder reissue:

https://www.figurerealm.com/actionfigure?action=actionfigure&id=25079&figure=s hredder[reissue]

It should be safe to discern that there was only one US Shredder reissue in mid to late 1994.

There might be a sticker less variant of the 1994 Shredder reissue, but I don’t think the Magenta brick Shredder trading card was released anywhere other than overseas.

I think you’re right. Just waiting for Tom to let me know where he got his.

So he said that it was only released with the blue cardback foreign release. Never on a purple cardback

I remember seeing a Genghis Frog with the black belt off and pack with the accessories as well as a purple card back Tokka with no belt whatsoever. Has anybody else seen these commonly or should I just chalk them up to errors instead of variations?

I’ve never seen the Tokka reissue without a belt, but the Genghis Frog without the black belt on with accessories included is an international release:

Search Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tokka on Amazon in all departments and it should be the first carded figured that you see with a price of $48.

I had no idea. I guess Playmates lost the mold for Tokka’s belt in the mid to late 90s like they did for Movie Star Leo sometime after the 90s as evidenced by The History of TMNT Leonardo 8 Pack.

I’m not sure that’s exactly the case as this was the punch tab magenta trading card version which was an early rerelease. There are releases of it as well with the belt. And as for the frog, the one I remember seeing was on eBay a long while back on an American card and it did include the black belt yet it was just packed separately

So at the end of the day I’m not sure if this beltless version of Tokka was just an error or in deed was made not to ship with the belt
