Frickin' filled out the form to have USPS redeliver a parcel twice now and they never showed. They dropped off another parcel without even alerting me (left it downstairs while I was straight-up home the whole time). The little pink slip is signed and everything and sitting right there in case they showed up after I've left and it's still there when I get home.
Usually it's UPS or FedEx that I have this problem with. I'm calling in the morning, but the principle is that I shouldn't have to. Oh, and also my ISP is charging me a $20 late fee even though it's their website's fault that my payment is late. They refuse to waive it because "late is late".

Mother dearest being a bit of a bear lately, prob partly due to the new meds not working. She will supposedly start a new one later today and hopefully those will kick in within a day or two. But I can only assume that dream I posted yesterday and that my teeth hurting probably from clenching them at night is thanks to the general family environment lately, on top of job stress... AND I've got to take her to get an eye thing (cataract) done today. Well this should be a boatload of fun...
edit: Oh yeah, and forgot to mention I came home last night to have my sister telling me about how she (our mother) also went and got into a small car accident with a truck and will now need to get that fixed too. *sigh* Well she can't drive for a few after the eye thing anyhow, so why the hell not, I guess. Wut. A smidge of overreaction maybe... Last edited by IndigoErth; 11-07-2017 at 08:05 AM. |

Sleepy Hollow was the latest tradgedy ruined by Fox and other issues. Hoping good for ORville but now I tend to wait a while before getting into shows. which also caused my TV watching to go to next to nothing, |

Well to be honest Sleepy Holllow wasn't the same without Abby. Molly wad no real replacement as a Witness. Plus it was starting to get a little repetetive. Save world from impending Apocalypse, rinse, repeat.

yep. and the wife screwed up the relationship between her and crane. and it went down hill from there.
although I think the wife was brought in because the actress wanted to leave in season 2. My thought is that if the wife worked out full time, they could write abby out, but sadly it didn't work out that way, and they made her do a complete 180 and become evil out of the blue. i don't mind wash rinse repeat so long as it remains fun. and for me SH still remained fun. |

Disrespect of all forms. I can't stand hearing about people being harassed because of something they can't control, like their appearance, sexual orientation, religion, and disability. Also, what's bizarre is that, sometimes, the people who encourage us to stick up for ourselves and others are the same people who degrade us. When will there come a day when we all treat each other with kindness, love, and compassion?

Went running around in the rain trying to find one of the cats, but he was a no-show. I guess he's hunkered down somewhere staying dry, but it's cold out.
Update: Came home from class to find him indoors. My neighbor must have let him in.

Had a sip of milk that was starting to go bad, without realizing that it was indeed bad.
So naturally, I'm a little nauseous.

People who don't like folks trashing on a movie they want to see, non stop.... yet rather than stop going to the thread they don't like, all they do is relentlessly complain about the people having fun trashing it. 'I don't like this, so stop and what I Say goes'....
kind of goes against what they are trying to get the 'complainers' to do. If it looks like a turd, and smells like a turd, chances are the majority will agree it's a turd . |

So Comcast decided to get rid of the Weather Scan channel. Nice. Sure, take out the channel that was actually useful 24/7, esp before running out the door to work, while the Weather Channel is a pain in the ass anymore on an average day. Grr.
Typical big company, cuts corners in ways that actually makes things worse. Would have rather they let us drop the channels we don't even watch, instead of making us pay the same for the loss of one we did use... |

The dumba$$ who decided that 7:15 on a Sunday evening was a good time to lock the laundry room, when the rules clearly state that it is supposed to remain open until 10. So now all my laundry that I did today is locked in the d@mn laundry room, including my work clothes. Had to tear the bedroom apart to find temporary substitutes for my work pants and a shirt that would "pass" for what we wear. Not to mention socks, undies, and something to wear on the way there and back. Plus my bath towels and sleep shirts. So now I'm stuck with an old pair of pants that had gotten ragged at the hem and had a couple of (small) holes, and a really uncomfortable bra that I rarely wear because it has grown too tight. Thanks for closing down our laundry room without checking if it was being USED first, JERK!!

This older man (grandfather?) and a young boy (prob under age 10) have apparently been showing up at our store pretty much daily lately. Seemingly just to play on our damn escalator... I'm convinced at this point that this rather obnoxious child is likely special needs (I assume autistic to some degree), but geezus this is getting irritating.
Very badly behaved. First time I saw them the other day in particular. I was at some point tempted to just turn off the escalator to make him stop, esp at the point this brat had been purposely evading the older guy for far too long despite frequently calling for him and screaming when he felt like it, and at some point ended up barefoot, which is of course not only against any store's policies BUT surely also dangerous on an escalator, AND I'd seen him throw something over the railing to the floor below. If this old man can't keep control of him then they need to STOP coming back. I wish one of these days security would escort them out of the store and tell them to go find an actual PLAYGROUND. Because our store and escalators are NOT it and we don't need this kid or someone else ending up hurt, OR damaging the escalators if he's throwing crap onto them. (I now suspect he's the same kid who threw a stuffed animal onto it the other day and may have had it with him again today.) Saw them show up just as I was getting off of work today, just as I'd come downstairs... Overheard the old guy tell him just "20 minutes on the escalator." >.> (Then I stayed a while to shop and overheard him telling him that no, he's not giving him 40 minutes.) They just played a while and left. Seems that they aren't even buying anything, just showing up and being a nuisance on a daily basis. Penney's is two doors down and makes me wonder if they visit them too... So far it's just me and one manager quietly griping about it a few times, though after a co-worker asked who was yelling I was able to tell her about them... Wow, any answers for that today? |
