I'm so glad they're revisiting Donnie's "death". They really didn't dedicate enough time to Donnie's trauma, in my opinion.

I am glad we're seeing Metalhead again, willing to bet he becomes the TMNT's version of "Vision" from the Avengers and joins them as an ally.

Nah, I don't think so. Least I hope not.

It'd rather see Harold and Donatello team up to take down Metalhead 2.0. The robot seemed pretty unhinged last we saw him.

Aaand now my mind is drifting to the vague, almost What If?-ic possibility of Donnie having to team up with Bebop and Rocksteady to bring down Metalhead... Boy, would that robot be confused!

It's still really interesting that Metalhead is the one carrying the trauma of the event more than Don currently is.

Well, that was interesting. Even with some things coming out of nowhere.

Donatello suddenly wants foresight, and is inventing a freaking menta-wave helmet to do it (that can only go so well down the line )

The futures he was looking at were interesting. Though, the least bad of them would probably be Bebop and Rocksteady actually being music stars .

And wow, Metalhead's stuff has come out of nowhere too.

It was a pretty cool issue, though. Containing only about four characters and set mostly in one room.

But, they do address my questions about Don not dealing with his near-death, but also every other big disaster he and his brothers have come upon.

This might actually be my favorite issue of TMNT in a good while. Donnie, Metalhead and Harold were all characterized really well. The fact that this issue explored all of the mental trauma Donnie went through was so welcome. Harold's re-connection with Donnie felt pretty organic and not forced, the fact that he only realized how much their friendship meant to him when he thought Donnie was going to die. Metalhead really surprised me, the fact that he WASN'T planning on betraying Donnie was a very clever plot twist.

We're also FINALLY getting pay-off from so many plot lines: Future Donatello, Donnie's "death", Donnie and Harold's fallout, Metalhead. And it's teasing even more unresolved plot lines playing more of a part, I mean, I'm pretty sure this is the first time we saw Null and the Turtles on the same panel.

And holy crap, the implications of that vision. How the hell is there an army of Utroms, and they're marching over the corpses of Triceratons? The Turtles killed by Null? Manmoth fighting an army? Foot Soldiers planning to assassinate the president? BEBOP AND ROCKSTEADY HAVE A BAND NOW?

The art was great, proves that Brahm can do an amazing job when he doesn't have to rush it.

Man, I'm so hyped to see what's next.

Look closer. The President is Stockman. And I don't think they're trying to kill him... That's the freakiest and scariest vision of the bunch, hands-down.

I knew that was Stockman, but I didn't realize it was President Stockman. I thought that was him becoming mayor. Though, president would logically be his next step...

A "mere" Mayor wouldn't have the United States flag to either side of him. There are other visual cues the artist could've used to convey Stockman holding the office of Mayor only, whereas the flags are a dead giveaway of what he will/could become.

And he appears to be in charge of the Foot Clan...

Yeah, easily the most terrifying of all the visions, including the one where all the Turtles are dead by Null's hand.
