Well, what do you know, we're getting a Tales omnibus.

Hopefully they're just taking a break from new Tales trades then. Maybe after they finish collecting the Archie run they'll start up Tales again.

That's what I think will happen. It's about resources.

Been meaning to start this series for a while. Not sure if I should pull the trigger just yet until I know for sure that it's coming back. Unless any of you guys reckon I should just go for it?

I'd say if you've enjoyed the other Mirage reprints then go for it!

Gone with the Omnibus, Vol. 1. Since it comes out next May that should give me plenty of time to finish Mirage vol. 4 and at least start the IDW series.

Amazon UK has cancelled my Omnibus, Vol. 1 order due to them not being able to get it. Ordering it from Amazon US now, hopefully they won't drop the ball too.

Maybe this is why the Tales trades were cancelled, they got moved into something that could collect it all in a few volumes.

Omnibus vol. 1 collects Tales vol 1 #1-7 and Tales vol 2 #1-8, this is vol.1-4 of the IDW tpbs. So if this is gonna be continued the Omnibus vol.2 gonna have vol.5-8. And from that point they can choose to stuck with releasing only the omnibus series.
In just three volumes more they could finish the whole run (5 omnibus volumes all).

Another observation:

The size of the tpbs is: 6.6 x 10.2 inches / 16,8 x 26 cm
The size of the omnibus: 6 x 9 inches / 15,2 x 22,9 cm
(Info from amazon)

The info could be wrong, but perhaps it will be little smaller.
