This is a pretty cool way to celebrate the 40th anniversary. I'm particularly excited for the 2003, 2012, and Rise stories, as well as the Laird/Eastman and 2003 covers.

The 2k3 cover is the best and most nostalgic.
God I can't believe the 2003 cartoon is over 20 years old now. Where does the time go. I still remember when that was the "new" TMNT cartoon. |

These alternate covers are so fire. Is that Michael Dooney?

So cool that Lloyd Goldfine and Emilio Lopez are back for this. Gosh I hope this leads to a 2003 comic continuation down the line.

I love that cover by Dooney, except the gradient in the background, he should've put a couple of clouds or something. We need more covers by Dooney.

Forgive my cluelessness, I don't otherwise buy individual comics. Is there a particular source to pre-order the 2003 cover?
Have the Laird/Eastman cover pre-ordered from a shop via eBay, but not seeing any source for the 2003. (Other than just an expensive, and presumably limited, listing on eBay.) Edit: And any idea if that hardback coming out in November is the same book? Or is this something different..? Unsure if I should bother pre-ordering that, as I'd skip if it's the same thing. |

It's the same book, just a hardcover edition with possible added content. (Since it has more pages.) IDW did a release like that for their last two Sonic and MLP anniversary specials.

If you scroll down and only see the top half of that Michael Dooney cover it seems... problematic.
