We've known this information for months, I don't see why people are shocked just now.

Yeah, I'm gonna keep an open mind, too. I always do, but you know, worth repeating.

I honestly wonder if this isn't received well if they'll go ask Ciro to revive the 2012 series a few years from now.

I doubt it, the show is aimed at a younger audience then us, they will like it more, in fact, Teen Titans Go is very popular for the younger audience, even though the older fans who like the original Teen Titans show are hating it.

I bet they'll do 2012 specials here and there regardless, probably.

That wouldn't surprise me really, esp after how they seemed to avoid calling the end of the series the finale and instead in commercials referred to the last arcs as TMNT specials.

I still expect a movie at some point. Maybe a few years from now.

They'll probably do their own version of "Turtles Forever" at some point. The RotTMNT TMNT, the 2012 TMNT meets... Fred Wolf TMNT again. Nobody else.

Baron Draxum is one of those tortured comic book names that someone thought sounded cool for about five minutes, but couldn't think of a better one.

I at least (sorry) want a nicer 2D rendering of the PD set in there at least for reaction purposes from the others. Whether they question their age or question their own choice to eat so much pizza, or what have you... But that would look very weird if 'Rise' ended up in any way like that old, brightly colored not-really-'Rise'-Donnie art. "Who are these giant Turtles??" "For that matter, who are you glowing ones??" Although I can't see glowing not being some aspect in what we're really getting... Last edited by IndigoErth; 01-11-2018 at 06:17 PM. |

Makes me think of the Key & Peele East West Bowl sketch.

It's a bit like 80s/90s action movie names too. Seems like when they weren't appealing to xenophobia, the bad guys were always called Drax.
I would always get a kick out of the names they would give Arnold Schwarzenegger's characters. He usually had a really generic first name like John, assumably to counterbalance his accent and make him seem more American - then a surname that the writers thought sounded cool, like Matrix, or Tasker, or Kruger. John Matrix maybe my favorite.

Do people who make a career purely on voice acting hardly even exist anymore? Or are they just not getting hired in preference for, I dunno, celebrity wrestlers and whatnot?

I think they're fewer and far between, but they're there.
I mean...Mick Foley isn't going to be able to replace Dee Bradley Baker anytime soon. Hell,....I don't know that anyone would be able to replace Baker...

Baron Draxum sounds like a CW DC Villain from Supergirl

I really wish you'd stop comparing something you haven't seen yet to TTG. Just because it's lighter in tone doesn't automatically mean it will be remotely like that show.

From the style of the "V Shell", I have a little more hope that it will be better.
