I can't even say how maddening this is to me. TPTB on Star Trek are literally so myopic that it's like... "Star Trek = Kirk, Spock, some link to them... umm... WRATH OF KHAN!!! Khan!!!" It never stops.
How awful. Khan is like a tiny but notable footnote in early Trek when taken at large, if that. If Trek can't grow past this kind of crap then it really doesn't deserve to. Appalling.

This is as bad as Fox and its weaker Marvel franchises or Sony and it's "everything but the Spiderman" rights.
Except there are no rights issues with Star Trek. Infuriating.

I wonder which version of Khan will they do, the Prime timeline, or the Kelvin timeline?
Knowing whose involved in making this, I think its the former.
