I'm not sure why anybody is asking for a remake of the Nes game when they released versions of the game across many formats. Better graphics but the same gameplay? Just play the UK Amiga version. It's only missing the cutscenes:

I'm assuming you're joking, but as a general rule: larger color palettes do not equate to "better graphics."

Yes, I'd love a quality remake of the first NES game. Nelson/MersoX redid the first level and it was a delight, but the best rom hack (edited level design and appropriate challenge) I've played is "Frank's Ultimate TMNT hack."

From that preview image alone, they almost look like they came from the Red Sky seasons, down to the narrow eyes, longer bandanas, and the lightly colored belts.

I like the Turtle Blimp in this game at least having an all-covered gondola.

I'm not joking. This is 16bit TMNT for the Amiga.

I'd rather see a true sequel but yes, I would.

I wouldn't trust Konami with it, maybe INTI?

I hated that underwater level. To bring back memories...I think that's the farthest level I reached.

As far as a remake goes...I just have a small question...there were some foot soldiers in the original NES right? I remember a lot of creatures...and there was also a giant Frog boss.

Would the remake keep those or upgrade?

How would you upgrade them?

Of course I would! I loved that game!
I love almost every tmnt game. I can only name a few I don’t like. But this one, I really did.

It would be awesome if it got the Ducktales Remastered treatment.

I did struggle with the water level as a kid, but it’s pretty tame now.

I love the 2D platformers, mainly this one, Secret of the Ooze, and Radical rescue.

To this day I can't believe that I beat that game as a kid. IIRC, basically if you didn't have Donatello, then fighting the Technodrome was virtually impossible.

Oops meant to say Danger of the Ooze. Must have confused it with the lyrics from the same turtles series (and obviously the 2nd movie subtitle).

I think a soft reboot/ re-interpretation of the game with 2k3 characters would be really neat. I liked the GBA game, so I guess something similar to that with elements of the NES game woulda been neat.
