Django/Zorro crossover movie from Tarantino

Tarantino is developing a Django/Zorro crossover movie:

https://geektyrant.com/news/quentin-...rod-carmichael

Jamie Foxx would reprise, of course... but as they describe an "aged" Zorro, would it be too much to hope for Antonio Banderas to return?

It doesn't seem like he's down to direct this, just produce and sort of creatively oversee. So shouldn't get it the way of his Trek.

Sounds awesome.

Does Tarantino producing really even have much of a difference from his directing?

Tarantino is directing Star Trek? Is this movie where the Kirk finally uses the "n" word and the teleporter breaks down and only beams women's feet on board?

I'm not sure we've ever seen before to know. My suspicion is that he'd be pretty hands-on as a producer.

He’s producing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood IIRC, but people are treating that movie as if it’s a flat out “Tarantino” film.

But he also wrote and directed Once Upon a Time inHollywood so it is a “Tarantino” film.

Ah, I was unaware. That would leave him with only one more film to direct then, because of his self-imposed 10 film limit.

No no, he's said Star Trek won't count toward the 10. He considers that a side thing/"playing with someone else's toys."

Zorro would probably fall in line with Trek, so Hollywood is 9. He still has one left in the tank after that.

If he even ends up directing Django/Zorry at all, which I kind of doubt. But this may be the way he ends up still directing a bunch of movies before and maybe even after his official 10th: doing fun franchise stuff and artsy work for hire fare.

And wait, does Tarantino count Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 as two movies in his count? He shouldn't.

He does count it as 1, but there were rumors he was considering Vol. 3 to be his next film awhile back.

Yeah, "Kill The Bride." He said he'd circle back around and do that in 20 years after Vol. 2 dropped. There's a lot of FAKE news about Uma hating Tarantino because of the car crash on the set of Kill Bill but they aren't true at all -- they're fine.
