I think it's good to have a minor in another language
I have a minor in Spanish and French (Though I almost NEVER use French) Spanish comes in pretty handy around my part of town

I know ASL and at church I'm going to be following around this lovely little girl so the sunday school teachers can teach everyone YAY!
Edit: Kayle is a special needs child and they sometimes find it easier to communicate through sign rather than verbal communication. Did I mention she's beautiful?

I knew a lot of Spanish from taking ti all through school and living with a girl who is fluent for about 3 years. I really wanted to learn Italian because I always wanted to go and see the village my Great grandfather was from.
Thought it would be easy because of the Spanish I knew...I was wrong. I took one semester in college and sadly gave up |

I know/knew limited Italian. I've been wanting to go take a few classes and brush up on it and learn it a little better though.

That is the sound of me screaming. I'm not going to do it IRL, 'cause that would just annoy people. Thanks for listening. |

I can understand a good amount of Japanese. It comes from listening to the music and watching their wacky-ass television for over six years. I can only understand, though. Reading kanji and writing any kind of sentence is out of the question. That's why I'm taking the class to finally learn. I'm not looking forward to learning the formal sentence crap. I'm a lover of modern culture, where everyone is either informal or just plain rude. Oh well. Gotta learn it first before getting to the less formal part.

With over a billion speakers, it's Chinese.

I thought It would be good / easy to learn an asian language because the very first language I was taught was the Choctaw language. (I did not get to speak English til I was 3) It has the same flow and structure as alot of asian languages.
I was WRONG!

Saying "The" alone is hard because there are about seven ways. One day I will try again it just wasn't working when I was in college and had all those other classes

It came in really handy living in the city, that's for sure. I am not as confident with it as I was a couple years ago though.

I've completely lost my grasp of the French language. I feel so ashamed. That's five years wasted-- FIVE!!! *sobs and runs away*
....By the way, did anyone else find themselves having a harder time spelling English words once they learned a new language?

I know English and I'm taking a French class at school. Next year will be my final year of French.
