Episodes of the 1987 series that would fit in 4kids
To counteract the 4kids thread, believe it or not there are a few episodes in the OT that I feel wouldn't feel that out of place in the 2003 toon. I feel the episode Maltese Hamster is the best example. Donatello throughout the episode narrates, something that is common on the 2k3 version. Plus, April even looks at some antiques at an antique shop and purchases the hamster. There is little humor/comedy for a Season 3 episode as well. I could see "Get Shredder" and a few other Season 8 episodes as well with constant action, less slapstick, no pizza, and silly phrases such as cowabunga. Anybody know some others?

The Legend of Koji would be perfect. There's no Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady or Technodrome. And they go to ancient Japan and experience the history of Shredder and Splinter's families. And that giant dragon.
Blast From the Past would fit in as well. |

Return of the Shredder
Return of the Shredder would work early in the show, with the Crooked Ninja Turtle Gang.

Other than that, I think that it would have been interesting if Splinter Vanishes was adapted, albeit without the turtles working in regular human jobs and one of the villains obviously not being Leatherhead.

"What's Michaelangelo Good for" with that black doctor and the scientist gene splicing animals. Not quite mutants but would into 4kids.
I also found that black female doctor interesting, if only because I'm pretty sure she was the first black character in a full episode before. I'm trying to think of any other black people in the original toon besides Bebop's 2 episodes before mutation and I don't think there were any. Anyone find that black female doctor interesting? |

That guy was French i believe, or as much as Rob Paulson could pull a French accent.
I always liked the female black doctor Mike took Pigeon Pete to, she should have appeared again. |

Enter the Rat King maybe?
Split-Second could work too.

Also that bossy guy in Usagi’s first episode in the rabbit building I think the time traveler Merrick was black. Also professor Huxley and his son Ronnie from Mobster from Dimension X. Can’t think of any others but I’m sure I missed some. Speaking of Mobster from Dimension X, that might fit in the 4kids show well, professor Huxley looks a little like 4kids Baxter Stockman and he was a scientist. Also he had a helmet that controls electronic stuff like the Fugitoid. |
