Yeah, I think it's sad that Manning has to go. They've also gotten rid of Joseph Adai and Clark.

Well, of course it's all perspective...I don't feel bad for his 1.1 million contract, I feel bad for the way he's being treated. Guy works his tail off while everyone says he can't, and then when he succeeds, there's still no payoff. That said, with Tim's faith as strong as it is, he's probably perfectly fine with all this and will be looking at, once again, proving that if you believe in yourself enough, you can make it happen. He'll succeed whereever he goes...but I still feel bad.

How about this start for the Dodgers? And the Kings are up 3-0 on Vancouver. The Lakers are, as ever, the Lakers . . .

All we do is win in L.A.!

I absolutely love that the Kings are up on the Canucks (wish is was the same for the Rangers & the Senators) The NHL playoffs have been crazy so far... lots of violence and surprising outcomes, especially between my hometown of Pittsburgh v. Philadelphia... anyone else been watching??

The 2012 NFL season schedule is out.

As for my Houston Texans, they play twice on NBC (hosting Green Bay & @ Chcago) & play Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day on CBS.

The last time Houston played a Thanksgiving Day game was in 1992 (then Oilers beating the Lions on NBC).

I have not heard of this starting pitcher. He appears to have bounced around since his 2007 MLB rookie year starting with the Mets. Perhaps his victory over the Mariners can help him settle somewhere and kudos. May he keep it up.
That is a great story. And it's a plus that it was the Mariners he beat..... I'm still not quite over last season but, Rangers are BEAST so far this year.

Ivan Pudge Rodriguez officially retires today. He was one of the greatest catchers in the history of the game, and is one of the most popular Texas Rangers in franchise history.

He was offered a contract with the Royals for the 2012 season after their catcher went out but declined the offer opting to retire. Its not often a player retires because he cannot find a job and he was one that did and turned it down. Anyway,I grew up watching Pudge. Definitely a HoF and a career well done. Not many can catch that long!

As unfortunate as it is Rose need rest more than anything right now (other than the surgury obviously) and this might be a blessing in disguise. Next season will have him refreshed and reinvigorated. And the Bulls have enough firepower to make it to the Finals... It's just gonna be a lot tougher.
Oh and the Bear's draft pick was stupid. They need to help Cutler in offense or else he's gonna have another concussion, how good is a quarterback on his back?
