Black Bolt is in Dr. Strange 2, supposedly that movie's big thing will be introducing the Eternals into the MCU "proper". Although I do bet they'll be completely different than that failed TV project or whatever that thing was. Totally new cast, different looks, all of it, you can probably put money on that.

I guess they're using the Dr. Strange movie to introduce the Inhumans, who nobody cares about, and not the X-Men, who people actually want to see, because they're still trying to parse out whether Xavier or Magneto will be the black guy and whether both of them will be gay or just one of them. And they probably need more time to deepfake Hugh Jackman back to 2002 because people are stupid dumb crybabies and nobody will tolerate a recasted Wolverine.

But yeah, the Inhumans are the point of Dr. Strange 2, apparently. Why? Well, if it's NOT what I just posited, I have no f*cking clue. But it's almost definitely what I just said, for sure. We won't get any X-Men until they figure out who they can "modernize". Until then, we get the Inhumans. Yay?

I feel confident that we'll see at least some members of the Fox-Men in Dr. Strange 2. Patrick Stewart about a year ago said straight up he was approached to reprise Xavier by Feige and he said no... which was right about the time Dr. Strange 2 was gearing up to lens. I suspect his no might have something to do with it amount to "not much," as in barely more than a cameo, which is probably more than the Fox-Men deserve.

Will Dr. Strange 2 introduce the actual MCU X-Men? Meh. Maybe something. Not sure. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed it isn't some f***ing merger with the Fox-Men universe. That would be the worst.

It actually might. The scuttlebutt I've heard here and there suggests that the MCU X-Men will ultimately be a mix of some Fox-era characters and recasted/"new" ones. Specifically, that the Spider-Man movie was kind of a "test-run" to see how the idea of older, other companies' versions of the characters would play when mixed-up onscreen with the Disney/MCU ones, and that if it went over well in Spider-Man then it would help Disney out a lot in re-establishing future properties like X-Men. This is why none of the "classic" versions of various characters stayed in the MCU at the end of the Spider-Man movie and all got sent back to their own universes; the idea being that if it went over well, they can indeed just use the "Multiverse" idea to transplant other previous characters into the MCU at their leisure, permanently, rather than go through the hassle of finding new actors to replace them. Like, they had no serious intention of having DaFoe staying in the MCU as Green Goblin permanently, but now? Now, if they ever choose to go that route, it's just a phone call. That movie completely changed the game insofar as what options Disney has going forward with "new" versions of old characters. They no longer have to recast, they can "take shortcuts" and just splice in the already-established actors here and there when it suits them. So you'd best believe, they will. And they definitely won't waste that on small potatoes stuff.

A lot of the Fox-era cast are too old now, so I'm sure MOST of them will probably be replaced but a few might slip through the cracks, like Quicksilver you can probably bet on since they goofed people with that during the Wanda-Vision show already and you know for a fact they talked to him about coming into the MCU to reprise the role For Reals later on, no way that talk didn't happen. Whether they settled on it or are still talking about it, I think it's pretty safe to say he'll be one of the FoX-Men who gets transplanted over, especially since they killed off the "real" Quicksilver in Avengers 2 back when they didn't know they'd ever get the X-Men rights and were being petty scumbags about it.

Past that, I'unno. Maaaaybe they'll keep the guys who played Xavier and Magneto, but ALL I've heard is that they want at least one of the two of them to be black so I don't know, but they're young enough to make the cut so maybe. Most of the early cast, like the original trilogy, probably not, they're all too old. Jackman is, too, but you 100% know he'll have a cameo at the very least as Wolverine in any X-Men movie, even if they also end up with a recast "real" MCU Wolverine at the same time. People would just cry way too hard otherwise; "We got another movie with Tobey and Garfield as Spider-Man, but we can't get more Jackman Wolverine? F*CK YOU!" SO yeah, Jackman's 100% in at some point, too, even if it's only to do a thing like Keaton in the Flash movie. Dafne Keen is probably still "promised" the X-23 role even though the rights have switched over and nobody's even talked about the "Logan" movie in like three years at the least. But when it came out, ALL anyone talked about was "They gotta give her a solo movie!" and supposedly they all but promised it to her, "whenever we get around to it." So if they use that character you have to figure she'll be the one playing her, even though it's different people in charge now. Same issue with Jackman as Wolverine, people like them so much that if they DON'T show up people will scream about it.

Anyways, yeah, we'll see what ultimately happens but the smart money says there's at least a couple of FoX-Men in the eventual MCU X-Men. I mean a bunch may do a cameo in the first movie or whichever one they do any sort of "Multiverse" stuff in, like I can still see Halle or Paquin showing up briefly before getting sent back to their own universe. But I definitely, definitely think a few will be permanent transplants.

There's no reason NOT to, at this point. It's easier/cheaper than running auditions and people have already shown that they'll accept the Multiverse stuff. It's lazy and a bit creatively bankrupt but it's also not a terrible use of preexisting resources, objectively.

Man, I have been rewatching Daredevil since seeing No Way Home and I was so confused last night; then I realized I apparently never got around to watching season 3 I guess I was over the Defenders corner of the faux-MCU when season 3 came out

Season 3 might be my favorite. Bullseye is one of my favorite Marvel characters, for reasons hardly known to even myself. His interpretation feels a bit different here, but it worked for me.

There's no reason to call it the faux-MCU.

Yeah I'm just getting into the episodes with a lot of this Poindexter Bullseye guy. I still miss the Colin Farrell version

With any luck, they'll roll that guy into wherever Daredevil shows up again next in... presumably already now in full-on Bullseye mode.

Also, I guess that Bullseye actor came really close to playing Captain America.

It's all great.

I'd never seen this. Charlie actually talking about the TMNT-Daredevil connection. Skip to about 4:40.

And Charlie "grew up with Ninja Turtles."

Yeah, I saw that elsewhere. I am disappointed that we have to start over. So much already built up. I mean, I tried and cannot get into the comics but absolutely love the show. I was hoping that a season 4 would work.

We can be reasonably sure the word "reboot" is bring incorrectly applied here. We have interviews with D'Onofrio confirming he was assured his character on Hawkeye is the same character in the same universe.

Probably it will just be a rebranding. Daredevil: The Man Without Fear season 1 or something. A lot of the same characters and cast but not all, but different locations and a new suit. Everything that happened in seasons 1-3 of the old show happened and they'll probably bring back that Bullseye guy.

They should bring back everybody from the Netflix show except have Colin Farrell play Bullseye again

I still think Jason Statham would have been a cool choice for Bullseye.

It reads like Disney + is still trying to figure out how hard or soft of a reboot it will be. I understand it has to distance itself from Netflix because its a different company, competing Network now. All we seem to know for sure is Charlie Cox and Vincent d'Onofrio are still playing their respective roles. Its quite possible they don't know much more themselves.
