TV Shows You Actually Pretended You Were In
Did any of you do this when you were kids or were at an age where you practised improvisation acting?
I did it for a number of shows and kept it up well into the 1990s. I used to imagine myself as a leading baddie on Baywatch who'd actually arrange all of the disasters on the beach, I even imagined myself as a comedic villain on Hercules and Xena because I wanted to be like Aries so damn badly, but I think the one I was most proud of was 'playing' The Leader in the Bill Bixby Incredible Hulk show. I had an imaginary acting partner who played my sidekick "The Gargoyle" (my brother thought I was weird to be doing this sort of thing and wouldn't play along with me) so it gave me plenty of opportunities to form an invisible double-act. What weirded me out about that was the 1996 Hulk cartoon came about and lo and behold, it had the same double-act! |

I self inserted myself in Pokemon to hit on Misty and/or May
I also used to have a star wars rip off universe when I was around 8 or 9 where I was the main character. It actually evolved into a serious project that I enjoy writing about now. |

The hell? No.
I'd play pretend with friends that we were TMNT & wack eachother with broom handles & stuff but that's normal.

I used to pretend I was part of the Tranformers, Thundercats, He-Man, Voltron, and Silverhawks storyline.

Those are before my time, unless I count the reboots in the 2000's and later. Only 80's cartoons I remember airing new episodes when I was a kid was TMNT and well that's it. Pee-Wee doesn't count because he's live action, but I used to watch that. Cartoon Network used to rerun them, some of the shows you mentioned, so I familiar with them.
