Oh, nice! With so much focus put on Kitsune, I've been wondering recently if we'd ever see a Tanuki in the IDW series... This answers that question!

Seems like there's no back-up story either.

The art looks pretty trippy for obvious reasons but just by looking at the style of Leo I can already tell I'd love to see this artist do some more work on the series, main ongoing or otherwise.

Ha, that tanuki statue. It'll be interesting to see what that was all about

I really like this preview!

Art style is fantastic, and it seems to be based on Japanese folklore, which I love!

This was a really great issue, probably my favorite of Universe overall. Fantastic art too that fit the story, and it was very Mirage-centric storytelling that would fit right at home with the old Tales of the TMNT issues.

Loved what they did with Leo, the new character, and Kitsune. Makes me excited for the overall Pantheon showdown coming up. This was a great issue for Universe to end on.

This is a good issue, good artwork, good writing, etc.

But this is the final issue, which makes me wish it felt a little more special in some way. I know the series is just side-stories and that it was cancelled, rather than properly concluded. I just hoped there would be a little something extra, you know?

It actually made me believe the Turtles will go full mystic powers to defeat the Pantheon, similar to the Ninja Tribunal arc. That's the vibe we've gotten from Leo at least in this issue and #84. Best way to fight mystical Gods is with mystic powers themselves.

Amazing issue!!! Thank you IDW team for bringing the Ancient One from TMNT2003 back as Dan! One of my most favourite characters in my favourite TMNT-universe! I LOVE YOU for that!!!

Yes, I've thaught that as well. Looking at the swords of Leo. And very nice nod to the new Rise show.

Really liked Ancient One Tanooki, and Kitsune was great. This was a solid issue, and a great finale. 5/5 stars!

We've had Utrom Shredder, Lady Shredder, Turtle Shredder, Demon Shredder, more Shredders than you can shake a stick at... But Splinter Shredder is something I never thought I'd see! Brilliant issue with plenty of Japanese aesthetics and mythology to chew on, as well as an appropriately climactic feel. A great way to say goodbye (for now?) to Universe. Not gonna lie, that final caption was definitely... What's the word? Bittersweet.
