LOL NO...Randy gave his response recently on twitter. There are no negotiations with Elias yet. Randy saw the Elias comments that was brought to his attention and randy said there no discussions yet on signing. Elias just made it clear he was now open to it.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. Elias sure sounded like he'd approved it in his comments.
Is it just me who's a little disappointed in the reveals? I know they spoilt us at Toy Fair but I was hoping we'd get at least a bit more from the films and/or a Mirage tease for SDCC. |

It's a work. We'll get his likeness in a repack with new head. Gotta milk those metal molds in China as many times as humanly possible, isn't that right Randy.

I suspect we'll at least have a good face for the quarter scale.
I was sad Turtle Tuesday didn't have any q scale releases announced, but he did say on PixelDan a few months ago that they intend to bring Casey and Splinter to the line (which that in and of itself is usually more than Randy admits to). |

The NECA reveals show that the playmates figures of many characters are the "definitive" versions, some just were downgraded when made into their cartoon versions, it's most evident with Muckman. Slash is inferior but we've never had that version of the character so it's fine but Metalhead just looks way better as the figure version than the tv version that had like 1 episode. Similar feelings with Baxter Stockman.
Triceraton is another example where he just looks awful, their brief appearance in the show left a lot to be desired in not only their role but also their designs. Super 7 is going to be blowing NECA out of the water if they go for iconic toys that had a version in the cartoon. They should be focusing on cartoon characters that might not have had a good figure based on the cartoon like Leatherhead is a great example, more cartoon characters that were important but never had figures as well, I'm guessing they don't want to touch any Red Sky episodes stuff but there's still plenty of Fred Wolf characters that were important or recurring to the show but not as important to the toyline or that the toyline didn't do. |
