Echoing the sentiment of others, I don't think it was the criticisim of the new show that got him upset. While there have been some legitamte complaints about the new cartoon, I've seen a lot of posts around here that just tear it up just for the sake of tearing the new show up. It seems like there's just no pleasing some turtle fans.
And as for the "Laird approval question", I won't look at that so much, as I will the fact that this Baxter is the closest to the Mirage one (Crazy, Shallow motivation- heck, even the 80's hair!) And while there was some slapstick with the Pizza, but there was also fighting with the weapons, and the plot was on the same level of teen titans. Am I totally happy with the current show? Of course not! I wish there were more OT characters (Why not Scale Tail instead of Snakeweed? Or Toxem instead of Spiderbytez? That Psionic monkey could've been seargent Bannanas? Don's cokroach could be Scumbug? And It should be Rocksteady and Bebop instead of Dogpound and Fishface!) But I love the new show anyway, and the charactrization of the turtles is the best I've seen in a long time! (Plus the fact they look like teens instead of 80's muscle heroes!) I can't wait to see the new episode!

If he was offended by what he saw here, I can't imagine how he handles the whining from casuals on YouTube or Facebook.
There are people still out there saying the show looks like N64 graphics or that the Nick show is destroying their childhood. I know nobody takes those idiots seriously but those type of comments are still all around YouTube and other sites. |

Well I think we've all learned a valuable lesson.
But I'm not quite sure what it is. |

What an episode! Had my younger Bro hang to watch this with me. (also a tmnt fan) We LOL so much when Mikes teeth fell out Just a another great well thought out episode, and Robs Donatello is starting to become my fav character.
No doubt we shall see Baxter again. Maybe they will use the fly story for him.

He could have handled the situation a lot better. His overreaction doesn't correlate to what was said in this thread. |

The real depressing thing here is that someone has to have a tantrum in order to tell people not to take life so seriously all the time. |

Saw the new episode today! It was ok, but nothing special really. I thought Baxter was somewhat lame though, I hope he'll be involved more and that they develop his character. I'm liking that they're yet to meet/fight Shredder, I've got not problem waiting a few more episodes for that to happen. The humour was great as usual, and I'm still enjoying what I'm getting.
