It means the binary code (the near incomprehensive lines of 1 and 0) has been converted into source code (much more easily understood logic statements and equations). What this in turn means is that it is easier to do things like make the game work natively on modern hardware, improve performance and make any mods you want.
It is also worth noting that this refers to the N64 version of the game, but it is known that the 3DS version uses a modified version of the N64 source code and thus you can pretty much recreate the changes in the 3DS version if you have the time and skill. |

I wish that they made a version that pauses time while in the dungeons so I wouldn't feel that pressure while looking for the fairies. I know some people like that, but I don't

Yeah I don't like that at all. Got the same damn vibe in "Lightning Returns."

I like to take my sweet time in any game that involves exploration. I know that I can slow down time and all that, but I still don't like it hanging over my head. I beat Majora's mask once and I never felt the need to replay it. It is my least favorite 3d Zelda game. I also really hate the Great Bay temple.

Yeah about the time limit, I just decided to do a run of the first cycle after getting the Ocarina just to see how much you can accomplish before you need to reset time again. This is what I managed to do:
That and over 2000 rupees in the bank along with plenty of heart pieces. This is actually quite a lot and the main reason I didn't do more is because the Great Bay is can only be accessed through horseback, and you can't really get the horse on the first cycle after getting the Ocarina. Maybe I'm just very familiar with this game but most of this can be discovered on a first playthrough and the notebook should help first time players a lot. |
