Turtle-April was not something I'd expected! This one's a little more obscure than other characters I'd expect first, but that makes me think they're going to get some really cool characters in this line.
If we're getting this, I have few doubts that we'll see major characters that we've never expected to get!

Was hoping the Stump Wrestling Turtles were further along - those are still the unarticulated prototypes.
But I'm real excited to finally get a Bellybomb after almost 33 years. I just hope Archie Krang has a head socket on him! |

If they do "future turtles" from the Archie line I'm going to flip.

See, I think those are solid as opposed to releasing "Wrestling Turtles" rather than straight-up Turtles. :lol
But we are about to get hit with full-on NECA releases all over again between this stuff and the upcoming Ultimate Fred Wolf releases... |

would've thought turtle April would've been shown.

Why? She was only in one annual that nobody read.

Only because that particular April figure was announced last April, and we would think it would be far enough along to be teased on the checklist….not because fans were clamoring for it to be made over other characters.

Ninjara would be an instant hit. If they want to supercharge that line they should announce her soon. Either her or Chris Allan style turtles and I'd buy multiples of each.

Oh geeze man. Think about how far the Archie line could go just by virtue of versions of anything confirming to various artists.

I don't think it's out of the question. With the Mirage line they've done 2 versions of the turtles- first issue appearance and then the Lawson style. Beyond that they've done Ben Bishop's style with Last Ronin. I'm cautiously optimistic. The Stump Wrestling look is very much a Ken Mitchroney style, and there are a lot of fan favorite looks and characters from the Archie series.

Yeah, Chris Allan’s designs are probably the only thing that’d get me more amped than the Mirage figures. The weird thing is I prefer Mirage to Archie but I think those designs would just make killer sculpts if done right. They are cartoony but have a a heft to them.
I’d obviously settle for basic versions but maybe they just head straight into the future designs to keep things varied. |
