That, and I'll say to Jephael's war on soda the same thing I say about the war on drugs: just because it's illegal doesn't mean people will stop doing it. You just create a black market then. Remember the Prohibition era? Didn't go over so well.

Exactly. I'd rather have money from taxes on vices go towards the education system and infrastructure like improving our roads and bridges than into the pockets of the cartels

I don't think you have much to worry about though. Coke aren't above wacking their political opponents. |

I was being a bit dramatic with the term lol. Really, it would be as simple as getting an older friend to go buy it, like we did with booze and smokes when we were kids. Accept 95 percent of parents would be sympathetic to the cause.
Like I said, don't even know why I'm arguing these points. The whole idea is silly. |

Thanks for the condolences, Nines. It's not easy dealing with that, but we do the best we can. At least we have in home health care though they stopped physical and occupational therapy so now we have to pretty much do that ourselves.

I don't know anyone who dared ask people to run in and buy smokes for them... but we would always get good results asking people outside of, like, 7-Elevens to go in and buy cases of beer.

That being said, I feel like the waffle cookie thing needs to be added to the bingo chart at this point cause honestly Andrew, your obsession with that brief time in my life comes off a little creepy to me anymore! I know you just like to tease, but it's like Jesus, enough already man!!! Anyone else who wants to chime in on this matter is more than welcome. Am I being an overly sensitive p*ssy here or is Andrew in the wrong for continuing to make these jokes when I tell him to stop? I wanna like the guy, but it makes me so uncomfortable when he does that. And before anyone tells us to take it to PM, we already did that a while back on Facebook.

Soda isn't go anywhere, much like cigarettes aren't going anywhere.
There's too much money to be made. So the government will tax it more, talk about how horrible both are for your health, all the while accepting kickbacks from the respective agricultural lobbyists.
