Italian LE TARTARUGHE NINJA Comics on English!

Hey, guys! While Forever War still in the making and mostly depends on Chris Allan as an artist, I want to start another huge project. As a longtime fans most of you knows what TMNT comics has been published not only in US but also in many other countries -- and in some of them it were not just a reprints. One of the most rare foreign TMNT comics are Italian 'Le Tartarughe Ninja'.The key issue is that this comics didn't have their own TMNT series, but instead they has been published in a weekly 'fumetti' magazines founded in early XX century -- Corriero dei Piccoli (1990-1994) and Il Giornalino (1994-1998, 2005-2008 ).

The most difficult part was find out all issues contained TMNT comics, as there is still no full catalog or something about this magazines. So, in order not to miss a single story, we completed the whole magazines series for each year and found every TMNT story inside.

Sadly, this comics will never be reprinted in USA officially because of many factors such as ancient licence agreements between a companies which are not the right holders anymore... So, we're translating them into English on our own and relettering in a professional way. Because our main goal -- find and tempt out of the shadows all existed TMNT comics from all over the world!

I'm going to collected this amazing comics on English for myself in a books, year by year. Hardcover, 120+ pages, 8.6x12.4 inches (same format and quality as TMNT Odyssey Ultimate). Each one will be printed with an extremely small print run, so if you want to get them in you collection as badly as myself, that's your unique chance to get a copy! Please send me a message for details here or on Facebook.

Why we are started from Il Giornalino instead of early Corriero dei Piccoli magazine? Unlike Corriero dei Piccoli, where TMNT stories started from cartoon adaptations, storyline in Il Giornalino is a mix between TMNT 1987 cartoon and 1990-1993 movies and created absolutely new, original universe! So, first of all we wanted to share this stories, but you can be sure -- time for Corriero dei Piccoli will come as well.

To show you how amazing this comics, I attach the first chapter here, please enjoy!

I've always loved the way "Tartarughe Ninja" rolls off the tongue.

You know what I would really kill to see? Italian TMNT comics drawn by the legendary Tony Wolf (who was very much Italian despite his pen name), just for the offbeat-ness of it all. Those who know his work will understand; those who don't, just Google him and you'll see why.

Amazing! I like this! We need even more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff archived, like the Mexican comic series and the assorted Manga. But this is a great and unexpected start.

No. This story will be in next book. It was published in 1995.

I was wondering if the original comics from the Fleetway Publications magazine Hero Turtles Adventures can be collected or is there some copyright that are hard to get around?

What is Italian copyright law like? If there are no work-for-hire practices involved, it's possible that the creators of these comics own the rights to them.

Obviously, it was a work for hire.
One of the author forwarded me a document where it is stated that the publisher is the sole owner of the rights to the art reproduction.
Even though in the contract, the original art was given back to the creators.
