With today's exchange rate, the total cost is $37.55. So yeah, that is a lot. Oh well, I'll just have to eBay off more video games... |

I'm not unfamiliar with that, living in Norway shipping, specially from US is expensive, often the double of the price of the bought item.

Yeah, so, anywho. We should probably start bothering TPB about a special edition TMNT (1990) DVD again.

Hold off on that idea until closer to Viacom's movie.

I'm excited over the fact that the movie is actually getting some SE release. I'm just disappointed that it's in Germany.

1 Euro is $1.37 today, but it could be way more by the streetdate. But, just for this reason, I was recently thinking that maybe we should start a pool for this. One big order to import 'em and save on shipping, then a smaller shipping charge to send 'em to folks who want 'em in their collection. Perhaps charge a non-refundable 50% of the cover price as a deposit to get on the preorder. All that needs to be decided is who we entrust with this task. Me & Rose both have experience ordering from there, and I plan on getting an OT set from that country eventually (though I'll probably wait for Volumen 3). However, someone who does eBay sales a lot would probably be more capable than myself.

Start your campaign in late 2011. Starting now would just annoy them since they just months ago released the bare-bones Blu-Ray. But, when they could bank off the renewed interest generated by another TMNT movie making its way to theaters, the effort stands its best chance of success... especially when it's already released in another country.

Man, Germany gets it? So unfair, I hope it has an English track, then I can buy it and convert it to NTSC

Jordan Perry
Will the 1991 TMNT film be released too, with Jordan Perry revealing himself as an Utrom in the end as it first was supposed to be?

This figures, Germany tends to get pretty good DVD releases (I ordered the first 5 seasons of Power Rangers from Germany).
I'll wait til this drops in price a bit before ebaying/amazon-ing it. Rose is right though, people should really look into region free dvd players/unlocking region locks. |

Very cool news. I'll watch the special features on Youtube. The quality isn't going to be that great anyway and I own the film on Bluray so I'm not dumping 40 bucks on special features. Still great to know someone finally took the time to assemble the missing content for this film.

EDIT: Just checked the wikipedia. Seems to perhaps have been only an idea rather then a deleted scene.. though its left to discussion. If that were to have happened... my brain would splatter. Being that at the time I wouldnt have known what utroms were it wouldn't have meant much to me but now, as a comic fan... whoa.

Survey says they didn't do that for two reasons. 1. They couldn't afford to and 2. Kids would think it's Krang and be pissed off to find out it wasn't. Probably more 2 then 1 but you get the point.

For once, I'll be able to grab this DVD for cheaper than people in the US. But still, I'd rather have an US edition with the extras. I know it'll come with english audio, but the artwork in the DVD and probably the menus will come in german (wich I can't understand at all).

It's been a long time coming, that's for sure. And while I'm hopeful and excited that these features, many of which have only been talked about and seen as mere pictures, be it on trading cards, in comic adaptations, etc., I guess I'm still somewhat more in the "see it to believe it" camp. I guess ideally, if it is in fact released as it's being advertised, then I think that alone, is reason enough to upgrade and expect a WB release, perhaps of the individual film itself, in digibook format, much like "The Matrix," "Batman," or "300." It would certainly warrant a new special edition, given the new features. And while yes, I bought the Blu-Ray set, if they do in fact release it in North America, I shall get it. For it's something I've wanted to see (the alternate/deleted material) and hear (the director's thoughts) for a long time. I await March 12th, if only to see that dream come to fruition.
