But I know the infuriation of getting scammed for sure. Someone out there is using an iPhone that they bought from me and then claimed was in "non-working condition" after it arrived. They claimed to send the item back with tracking but purposely sent it to an incorrect address that wasn't mine (obviously to a friend or family member instead). eBay closed the case when the item was 'returned.' I tried for months to get eBay to see the tracking was delivered to the wrong state and I never received the phone but was never able to get my $500 back. In the end, I'm out an iPhone AND the $500 the buyer paid (since I had to refund it). I tried to get Apple involved but...they don't give a damn about anything like this. Wouldn't even respond to my many emails and calls. Can you believe it? Honest people paying the price (time and money). It's just shameful what people will do to scam others out of their things. Too bad they can make more money scamming than getting a real job but eBay makes it too easy quite honestly. Bottom line here is that YOU did nothing wrong if you sent the item mint as you described and the buyer is lying. You held up your end of the bargain and they are just unethical. Hard to fight against but, hopefully, you'll get more honest people than scammers in the future. But, protect yourself first and you'll be way ahead of their games. |

My favorite so far
https://www.ebay.com/itm/PREORDER-NE...p2047675.l2557
In seller's defense it was taken down for an error in listing.

If anyone has ever hunted for the 2003 era "A Scrapbook by Leonardo" that isn't an absurd price, I came across this "very good" one. (No buy now, but only a few more days and no bids and starting $19.95.)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Turtle-Powe...0AAOSw~0Vf96pY Not a clue how common it is, but personally, I've rarely seen it online and generally only for a lot of money. Took me a while a few years ago to find one I could afford that has some wear and tear on it. Personally, I love how this book is credited as being by Leo and "with" the actual author's name after him, as if credited as the ghostwriter or something. edit: Hah, I go back and scroll past and there is a second... for the absurd kind of cost ($110) I usually see, and also only "very good." Hey all!
First time poster here... I came across this listing on eBay and wanted to ask if anyone ever seen these before? https://www.ebay.com/itm/174519100376 and https://www.ebay.com/itm/174519093185 They're both from the same seller and when I reached out inquiring about them I didn't get a response. Just a discount offer... lol If you look at them carefully, the boxes look like they're for the classic cartoon figures, but the figures themselves are the comic book looking versions. I couldn't find anything online about them either. I'm not sure if these are custom-made as well. If anyone has any information about these, please share! Thanks! |

I've never seen those before and am 99.99% sure they're bootlegs. They look to combine NECA heads with Playmates bodies, painted to match the vintage characters. Kind of cool, I suppose.

Yeah, those are UK exclusive bootlegs. They're the NECA Mirage sculpts with some of the articulation removed, painted in Playmates colors, with added, initialed belt buckles. The packaging is taken from Playmates' "Classic Collection" series. Pretty neat for what they are, but not worth the asking price.

Thanks guys. Makes sense.
Yeah, they look like the 2006 NECA variants with the Playmates wannabe NECA variants all mashed into one with the paint deco to match the playmates as you said. Aside the price, the shipping price is also a bit criminal. Thanks again all! |

Wow, those are kind of awesome. If those ever get to be around the $10/apiece mark I'll be tempted to grab some.

This...carved stone Ninja Turtle bust.
I really like the back of it... and from that angle it looks like it had potential. Spoiler:
But I don't know what happened in the front. Spoiler:
Eeeee! If they had left out the odd gem eyes, didn't make the face flat, and made the chest/abdomen look more like the plastron it really might have been decent. Whoever created it I wouldn't mind seeing a reworked version. |

Nahhh I'll pass. For $40 and shipping that would probably take months it really aught to be better than that.

If anyone's "interested" there's also a "trapped in crystal" version. lol (edit: And a few others progressively less trapped.) Spoiler:
And only just saw that just now because the seller offered a discount on the previous one. UM... I didn't add it to watch list. I didn't know that was possible for them to see who looked at something without faving it. Though it kind of loses the charm of at least having the decent shall carving. |

Be careful on Mercari as of late. Some trolls/scams going on with sought after vintage figures.
I owned a Tyranno Shredder for about 36mins today.

Why does this red-wearing 2003-ish Leo (or Raph with a strap?), PD movie logo and limb-having backpack exist? I almost want it simply because it's weird.
