Lost Italian TMNT comic from 1995

Just saw this a moment ago. All the information (and the comic itself) is in this:

https://www.cjoint.com/doc/18_01/HAA...C3%A9duite.pdf

I guess it was officially published in Italy in 1995? Appears to be TMNT Adventures-based?

That was certainly well drawn for a Fred Wolf tie-in. I'm a little confused about the status quo here though, there is no Shredder and the Foot Ninja appear to be human. Was there an ongoing story that explains this or did the comic just choose to ignore aspects of the show?

As for the added pages by Nortock Diab, what exactly do they imply? My best guess is that Krang realised he's part of a TV-show with zero plot and can't win due to a rigid status quo, therefore he had to migrate to a place where he could potentially score a victory.

Check out the official thread in the Fan Works section, Hoss:
http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=59472

There's lots more where that came from, as it was never lost... so long as you read Italian kids' magazines.

Oh, sorry... my bad. I guess I didn't even think to look in the Fan Works section since this was apparently an official thing, once.

I hesitated between posting it in the Fan section (due to the designing of basically a new book and the addition of new comic pages) or in the Comic section (the core story was officially published in 1995).

It is inspired by the 1987 show but from the stories I read not properly set in it (Foot soldiers appearing as humans would be a good example, I have to check if they really are human). It is then kind of new continuity in my opinion. For your information, characters such as Bebop, Rocksteady and Shredder exist in these stories.

You guessed right. Only thing is that I consider the Italian Krang not to be the 1987 Krang. Italian TMNT books would be their own thing.
Cover and Frontispiece are set in the Mirage universe as implied by the screen displaying "Turtle Prime" on the epilogue page.

This is an awesome find.

There's also that obscure Mexican TMNT comic that used Adventures as a base but apparently also did its own stories in their own art style

Krang's appearance at the first page looks like something the Mirage comics could have if they used Krang.

That's literally the point. In fact, Nortock said that two posts above yours.

Indeed what happens in the Frontispiece is set in the Mirage universe.
The Donnie we see is the Mirage Donnie (as on the cover).

The Krang we see is the same as in the Italian story (the Italian Krang).
Yet for the Frontispiece (and Epilogue), I wanted to make a contrast : he has the same overall shape (tentacles, eyes, smile...), yet is depicted in a more serious style (I do not dare to say Mirage style, it's too pretentious !).

I found other scans from these italian comics (from Corrierino and Giornalino), maybe I can help translating them.

Anyway, I remember reading these magazines when I was a kid, sometimes the drawings could be really good, other quite bad...

Sure, give it a shot. Getting these out for others to see would be awesome.

You guys know I (....sometimes) release translated books. If someone's got scans of fun stuff and wants to translate, hit me up. I do the image work, edit English, etc.

Mark posted its review of the Italian story on TMNT Entity.

A big thanks goes to him!

I'm really glad Assalto al Treno and more widely Italian stories from this period are gaining visibility.

I haven't been pulling my weight on those manga translations lately; I've just been too busy (but I haven't forgotten about the 2003 Takara Donatello pack-in comic!).

However, hit Adam up. He says he's got a treasure chest of the Spanish language Division Comics stuff and I know a lot of English speakers have wanted to see those scanlated for years (you've got a Spanish-reader on your team, right?).

All thanks go to you for getting it translated and sharing it with me! It was a straaaaange story but I find that's the best novelty of the Euro TMNT comics.

It's ok, I haven't done...anything in like two years. We've got a new release in progress as of this past week though, getting close. I have a Spanish translator in theory...I'll see if he's interested. I have a big pile of other Spanish stuff I've been wanting to do with zero progress but eh, that's the biz I guess.

Let me know if you need any files back you might have lost that I might have, I can check.
