Talkin' Toons with the original cast.
I just saw this on the top of Townsend Coleman's Facebook.
I can't wait to see all of four of them together again! Plus, this year marks the show's 30th anniversary. Is it just me or does Cam look like he's very sick? I've been worried about him lately because he's been very quiet on social media lately. Last edited by ranger_scout; 08-02-2017 at 11:31 AM. Reason: It has already been released. |

I don't like this new Talkin Toons. its on this project alpha where you can get a free trial than you have to pay to use it. Rob has said audio only episodes will eventually be on his old cast.

I think Renae Jacobs will also appearing on an episode soon. Probably the same one with the other TMNT cast?

i'm not a nerdist fan....although i'm in the minority in that opinion...
Also not sure why we have to pay for talking toons now. when you live paycheck to paycheck an extra $10's is alot. even if it's good content. Happy that TT's is getting more exposure though, and a proper video upgrade. just wish they went the JAT route. shorter show, video, but still free. wouldn't mind paying if it went direct to rob or a charity though. for a good cause i could swing an extra $10 if I cut down on other things a bit. |

1) The show is on it's last legs so this is a way to gain revenue or payment. 2) Once a show becomes popular the creators and distributors can ask for money from people who wish to see it. Obviously I'm hoping it's the second reason. |

it just seems odd that he would bring talking toons back to tech jives for 3 or so episodes, and then suddenly switch to nerdist out of the blue and now people have to pay nerdist to watch it :/.. either way, i'm glad talking toons is back, getting more exposure, upgraded to video, and seems to have more audience. If anyone deserves the success, it's Rob. just wish it didn't go under the nerdist banner to do it. it's such a great independent success story. maybe he didn't want to worry about dealing with it on his own after the health scare and it's easier to have a support team to help with things. that I can def understand. |

-edit- just checked it out. huh. I didn't know seinfeld got that dirty, but why choose THAT scene? could have had something a little friendlier to use.
I haven't seen this one yet. but I did check out a little of the back to the future one. that one actually fit perfectly... one of the things that bugs me about nerdist is, if he ever was truly a nerd to start out, he seems to have forgotten where he came from. he's played the hollwood game too long. I listened to one of his podcasts once. he had rick moranis on. a guy who vanished from hollywood for 20 years and is an incredible get. I was expecting something amazing. all i got was an hour and a half of nerdist talking about HIS experience. Moranis actually sounded bored and disinterested. and he couldn't really get anything going because nerdist interjected with something about himself. He might be a nice guy.. but totally disappointed when people keep calling this guy the 'king of nerds'. seems to me he just played the hollywood game and tried to corner the market. can't say i blame him for trying. it was ripe to try something like that. but hardly the 'king' of nerds.. Maybe because the only people who care about Fred Wolf's TMNT are, ya know, adults? Scared of "racy" humor, are ye?

I think its funny hearing the original voices from TMNT re-enact a scene from Seinfeld, Its funny hearing those voices saying the dirty stuff.

nope, you've gotta pay nerdist a monthly fee, since it's his channel.
the fee doesn't seem like much. less than $10's it seems, but it's another un needed monthly bill for only one show on the network i'd watch. |

You know one thing I noticed, when they were doing the voices, even though they sound like they were from the original series, I started to notice that the voices sound aged, even though they sound like the original Turtles, due to the voice actor's age, they made the Turtles sound much older, and that's due to all the voice actors being much older then they were back then, when they did the voices back in 87 and in the early 90s.

you try sounding like you did 30 years ago. just a natural process of aging.
I'd like to think the reason rob sounds so close is cause he's stayed in constant practice. Cam I think is the second closest, tied with Gordon. Townsend sounds the most off/tired at times doing the voice. |
