Just finished rewatching the original in the final cut, wasn't it implied Harrison Ford is a replicant himself? I also recall Ridley Scott confirming that in interviews. Or did they do away with that and making him human in this sequel?

Also I never realized there was a rape scene in Blade Runner. The way he stops her from leaving, pushes her against the wall and forces her to kiss him was pretty shocking, I can't imagine something like that in movies today without some backlash.

Here's the real deal.

By the way, what's the deal with trailers over the past couple of months -- WITHIN the actual full trailer -- containing a trailer for the trailer in the first few seconds, kind of a quick highlight reel? Like, "Please spend a minute and watch this trailer! See, look! There's good stuff inside! Just hang on another minute!" It seems desperate and pathetic.

I was already on board because of Villeneuve but that just seals the deal. Leto will probably still bug me though.

They put the snippets before the trailer because you have to watch a video for a few seconds for it to count as a view. I guess they figure people will immediately click off of it if they don't see the money shots immediately. Makes no sense to me.

Two things I didn't like about it: one, nobody that knows anything about shooting a gun turns it sideways. You can't aim properly from the side. Loses big points there. Two, no Vangelis score? Booo...

I've never watched Blade Runner, I don't know why I like sci-fi and cyber punk and it's a well known classic. Does it matter which cut I watch as a first time viewer? I wouldn't recommend the Extended edition LOTRs if it's your first time for example, I know Blade Runner has like a handful of different cuts...

Good trailer, I like the visuals so far.

Has anyone noticed the Atari logo? looks like Atari is still around in the future.

That's how you know it's an alternate reality.

Agreed, it's horrible. I think those are specially tailored for YouTube - you know how they give you five seconds before allowing the 'Skip' button to work?

Looks kind'a bland. What's the deal with Ford's wardrobe? It looks like he showed up on set like that and refused to change.

Anyone getting kind of concerned about this now? So many reboots or sequels to older movies completely and utterly bombed lately.

I'm really holding onto hope this one turns out good. I don't think Harrison Ford would want anything to do with it if it was just a cheap remake/semi-reboot of the original.

I have faith in Villeneuve to deliver a good movie.

This movie will have trouble making money if that rumored production budget is true though. There's no demand for a Blade Runner sequel.

EW has posted a new featurette about the movie, and it shows a ton of new footage.

Well Atari is making a new console called the Ataribox, so looks like it'll be a hit!
