Going to be spending the weekend writing- when I'm not busy waging war on bug-kind anyway....

Just went down to get the mail- the punch bowl and "presents" for Raph's party scene have arrived! Now I just need the Twister game, rum bottle (to spike the punch) and a couple of other little details to complete the scene.

Last night I found out you had to buy a ticket to meet Bruce. Thankfully they still had some in stock so I am ticket holder 43. I get his new book an autograph for the book and I can bring one more item to get signed.

Oh yes- there WILL be pictures! The idea for this is a scene in my long-running fic Love Is Shell, where the turtles are celebrating Raph's "Big 1-8" on the rooftop of a friend's apartment building (at night of course) and Mikey has not only put the party together, but secretly had Irma spike the punch! (Because Leo wouldn't KNOWINGLY imbibe alcohol- Mikey wanted him to loosen up a bit.) As for where I get them- ebay! Some are handmade by artisans and others are prefab, I think, but they are all very realistic and fit perfectly with the TMNT figs. (items are dollhouse 1:12 scale) Just ordered the rum, Twister (Mikey's idea- he wanted an excuse to cozy up to the friend from the story), and balloons. The beer (for Raph- Casey's idea) and cake are already being shipped. Have pizza and sodas from an earlier lair setup also. Gonna do a whole series of shots from the story as a photo-"comic" short.

I will post them in the toys/collectibles section when I get everything set up. Might be a couple of weeks for the rest to come in though. Some of it is coming from Taiwan or Hongkong or some such.

That's cool, Duckie. I can't wait to see that. You could even post it in the fan works section since it is based off of your story.
Took Dad out today so I hope he's happy.

Awesome, look forward to seeing pics! (Wondered if it was eBay, I've seen a lot of really cool miniature stuff on there!)
Happy maker... ordered a new mouse with a lot of good reviews and super affordable, plus free shipping and it wasn't even eBay or Amazon. (Despite how I keep meaning to stop spending on stuff, but that was reasonable.) |

Well they finally forgave me for the "water torture" earlier today. The nummies I served up probably helped. Demona even curled up in my lap!

To balance out the universal karma of gear grinds, my happy maker is coming home to soak in a hot bubble bath and sip a Bahama Mama while I relax. And Gotham and Lucifer are on tonight! Angel greeted me with kisses when I was taking off my shoes n clothes in the bedroom. Seems she's been napping on my side of the bed all afternoon. And she seems to be feeling better.

Being able to actually stay up and watch the last hour of WWE Monday Night RAW made me happy yesterday as I haven't been able to do so.

That's cool, Plastron!
Finished sketching the whole comic I'm working on, so I'm pretty happy with that. Now it's just outlining and coloring left, and dialogue I guess. |

Chinese knockoffs on eBay (with lots of good product reviews).
Trying to find an attachment for my rotary tool that would help me cut a straight groove, but can't figure out if the brand I have would actually fit all the Dremel (and other) brand stuff that's out there. Looks like the hardware stores sell an identical (other than the screw that tightens it) piece, but I don't want to spend a bunch of money to figure out that it might not even fit it. So I found a knockoff on eBay for just $1.49, so if it doesn't work out, okay then. But I will never understand how they can afford free shipping to the U.S. for this stuff. |

When someone offers free shipping the shipping cost is often actually included in the original charge, but not always.
