It's, what, 23 episodes for the first season?

I'll go on record with some Batman predictions.

• We get a namedrop for at least ONE Batgirl's alter-ego (be it Stephanie, Cassandra, Barbara, or Helena).
• We get a namedrop for at least ONE Robin's alter-ego (be it Dick, Jason, or Tim).
• League of Assassins doesn't show up (until later seasons).
• We get some hint (or maybe even meet) Leslie Thompkins.
• Jim Gordon or Alfred Pennyworth is dead. (Take your pick.)
• ELEVEN fvcking Batman villains. They don't all have to be A-list, but I'm calling it now. Minimum of ELEVEN, somehow someway, showing up in the fvcking show.

My problem with this is that it's just plain unoriginal, and it's upsettingly pander-tastic.

We already had a much better story line with this in Batgirl who, on a librarian's salary, built her own crime fighting career.

Here, we have some lady who just swipes someone else's stuff then says "I'm not about to let a man take credit for a woman's work." Lady, you stole all his stuff.

Count me out.

Wasn't there a whole plot line about Batman training dick so he WOULDN'T turn out like him?

Dick never became Batman 2, he created a whole new persona for himself in the form of nightwing to get away from the batman mantle.

After Batman died in Final Crisis or whichever crisis it was, Dick took over the mantle. And there was Battle for the Cowl, where he and Jason fought for the Bat mantle.
