Talking about it like this is exactly the sort of thing that perpetuates character assassination.

Gossip is fun and all, but these kinds of accusations are life enders. Whether it's true or not, these things should be kept behind closed doors and away from the public. We don't need to be privy to anyone's private life. Marital issues are difficult enough as they are, but to take it to a public forum? I don't know how people can handle it.

At first I was like "wtf" when I read the thread title, since those two types of accusations usually don't go around together. But then I opened the thread and turn out it's his ex-wife accusing him of both things, so now it makes a bit more sense.

Yeah, it would honestly bother and disappoint me. He genuinely seems like a good person.

the key word in this entire thing is 'EX wife'. What are her motives?

there was some stuff about a local weatherman that came out during his divorce of him hitting on his wife. didn't make a whole lot of sense either....but, then the wife came from alot of Verizon money, and might have been afraid of loosing half.

nothing ever came from it either, so I assume accusations where false.

Same thing goes for a local DJ being accused of being lued and lesivious. by an 'ex' co worker, who wasn't exactly above the board. they could have chosen a guy who actually fit the description better, other than the Mr.Rogers of DJ's.

while you never know what goes on behind close doors, and people do make mistakes, even nice ones.....some of these accusations are just too goofy to believe. the fact that she apparently brought pooh up into it from the get go suggests motives.

Even the allegations can be enough. No one will ever look at him the same way again and will probably think twice about hiring him. So even if she's lying and he wins in court he might still lose in the realm of public opinion.

Exactly. Accusations of sexual crimes can ruin someone's reputation, even if that person is 100% innocent and their innocence is proven. And I can't really blame companies and people for hesitating to hire someone after that. There's always the fear they might actually have done those things and might be dangerous individuals.

For example, Michael Jackson. Maybe he was actually innocent all along, but you can't just forget about the allegations against him. I think most people deep down believe he was guilty. And if not most, then at least a lot do.

oh, I know allegations alone can be damaging... but one would hope the person reading them would be smart enough to first realize the source might not be all that reliable.

They never do. Because it's so much easier to jump on the torches and pitchforks bandwagon than to actually do some research. Either that of fear that you'll be accused of condoning/defending that sort of behavior if you don't.

It's funny to me to see people acting like they know these guys. I'm not saying they did or didn't the things they're accused of, but I wouldn't know because I am not a witness, just like everyone here. Anyone is capable of anything and no one would know.

I think it was I don't see it. He Shouldn't have deleted it. His wife is a loon from all the articles I've read.

I agree it was a mistake for him to delete the Tweet because those who read it and don't see it anymore will now probably think that he is guilty. We will just have to wait and see what the results are in court and hopefully he didn't do these actions.
