HD is purrrrty. Also, back on the topic at hand, this series is starting out as a 4 part mini; not sure if it's been posted yet or not. I suppose if sales are sufficient then the move to an ongoing series will happen?

A big part of the show is the humor and banter between the Turtles. If this comic can't replicate that then I'm not sure what the point is.

No, Powder he's right! Comic books don't have voice casts, either, to make that banter workl! WE'RE DOOMED!!!!

Comics usually do rush through things nowadays, especially since most of the time pages that could have spent getting to know the characters are wasted on splash page after splash page. But I'm sure this TMNT comic will still have room for the comedic banter between the bros.

This series will be under IDW and Bobby Curnow as editor. It's in good hands. I think the point is we're most likely going to get another quality TMNT comic. Whether it does every single thing Cybercubed wants or not, I'm looking forward to it!

its funny...at least back in the day (turn of the century) a lot of the "adventures" series were outshining the mainstream series they were based on. batman and spider-man adventures come to mind. they were solid, GREAT storytelling with art style closer to the DCaU than anything else. (yes, even the spider-man title). they didn't hold strictly to the continuity of the comics or shows they were based on and still kicked ass. looking back on it now, im glad they didn't try to force themselves between episodes or storylines or whatever. as others have mentioned, all it means is we're getting another awesome comic to enjoy. hopefully, this adventures series will go along the same lines. art looks looks dope and bobby hasn't done wrong yet. i'm hyped!

Well the first 6 episodes will be on DVD by the time this hits shelves, so you shouldn't be totally lost.

The entire series is already purchasable on itunes, and its in HD no less. You can buy the season pass and episodes are added right after they air on TV.
For example this weeks, "Mousers attack" episode is already on itunes. |

I'm still collecting, but I haven't been posting much lately. I'll try to post the drawing this weekend.

DVD only... no blu-ray? I'd be tempted to get the blu-ray if it were so, just to compare the quality to my itunes versions D:
Oh well, I'll wait for the full season blu-ray... hopefully with some nice special features. Anyway, dvd only though it may be, it would make a cool gift to any kids in your life. |

I wonder if the introduction of this "adventure" series will effect the main series at all. Currently the main series is being made to appeal to all age groups, with the introduction of a series that's directly targeted towards kids I wonder if the main series will become more dark.

They're probably going to be the same level of family oriented where adults can enjoy it too.
They do want kids who watch the show to pick up these comics after all. |
