This was posted several hours ago by Hey Arnold! creator Craig Bartlett

Is the now legendary Jungle movie on the way?

I loved the show as a kid.I guess it is because I was Arnold's age when it debuted and the show ages well. We got exactly 100 installments, but it felt incomplete like Forever War being dangled in front of us to conclude it only not to happen. I am glad Craig Barlett did not let it go for god because of a disagreement before he left for Cartoon Network. Do you have an article link? Give us the Jungle movie!!!

Update: Nevermind, the image is from an existing episode, fans just overexcited at something Craig posted (including me). Aside from the fact he's in talks with Nick about it, there's not much to report on.

Atleast it will happen! I found it in a yahoo! news serach. Only one source at the moment. It seems Nick is looking back and making new episodes of four of its 90s cartoons.

I recall them planning that as far back as 2011, back when the 90s block was announced.

Anyway, you're definatly right, Justin Shenkarow confirmed he was in talks for a role in the new movie.

Link, please?

I'll be very happy if this gets off the ground. Now all we need is that Samurai Jack movie.

4 series returns?! well 3 if its including this. What are they? I dont know. Nick bringing back shows is always sketchy.

Double Dare 2000 was the best return. Just like the original and the Triple Dare was a nice bonus. They brought back Wild n Crazy Kids at one point, didn't they? I dont really remember it. Obviously a bad sign.

Then the down right horrible My Family's got Guts. Even I could have done those challenges.

Figure it Out is the most recent and faithfully matches the first which is nice. Is it still on? Haven't seen it for awhile.

Nick will never be the greatness they were in the 90s. Thats why I hate that they acquired TMNT. Show is great but still wish it were just licensed.

So some news

Craig Barlett is now officially back with Nick after a decade and is working on a new project for them called Sky Rats
, Nick are also keen about possibly developing the second Hey Arnold! movie but it's too early to tell how commited they are to it yet.

It does not mean we will get Hey Arnold! completed but it is the first step! Fingers crossed.

I would be very happy to see new Hey Arnold stuff, as I grew up on the show and was thoroughly disappointed when MTV didn't pick up the spin-off with Helga.

From all I heard about The Patakis, it probably would have left a sour taste in fans mouths, knowing Helga's dysfunctional family problems don't really end and that she and Arnold are seperated over long distances and reduced to a pen pal relationship. Most fans want their story to be resolved and, more importantly, feel it ought to last the rest of their lives.

If they make the second film, that'd be the best thing Nick has done in ages

Do you think it actually will happen to give Hey Arnold proper closure or yet another tease?

I liked Hey Arnold as a kid, but I don't remember much about it except the characters. Helga was the most interesting character. I watched the movie nearly a decade ago, but thought it was disappointing. It wasn't as good as the cartoon, in my opinion.

Nickelodeon is looking to revisit some of its classic shows, from before the time of “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Dora the Explorer.”

“We are looking at our library to bring back ideas,” Russell Hicks, the cable channel’s president of content and development, tells Variety, “shows that were loved, in a fresh new way.”

He’s talking about the era of “Rugrats,” “Doug,” “You Can’t Do That on Television” and “Hey Arnold!” According to the website, the plan would see some classics retooled, not necessarily as series but possibly as specials or TV movies.

Hicks wouldn’t reveal which shows are under consideration, but noted that a lot of viewers who grew up watching Nickelodeon now have children of their own. “We are getting ready to bring back some of the ones they’ve told us multiple times they want to have brought back,”he said.

So the Jungle movie tease could be about a tv special

I've never understood the internet's love for this show, and I used to watch it every day. I couldn't stand Helga or her character archetype, but apparently I was supposed to find her funny or something, so I completely missed something.

I would definitely love the show if she wasn't in it, honestly.
