My one happy maker for today- sweet little furry "caregivers" who always seem to know when you feel bad, and want to curl up with you to comfort you. I have been getting love from two of them tonight.

Recently saw the Betty Crocker box mix at Dollar Tree so why not try them at least this once, before the related series is over and the products cease to exist. Got around to making them today, but added lemon zest and juice to the mix.

Lemon didn't turn out too noticeable, but they're still good.

The new label art on the Dr Pepper 20 oz bottles make me smile. Last one I got had roses on a leopard print background. Got one at the Shell station today with Dracula and a bunch of bats, and a full moon behind the logo- which was altered so the bottom of the first p and the r in Pepper look like fangs lol! Loving these fun images. There was even one with a background that looked like the old Nintendo controller!

I got a 2DS, but they just announced the New 2DS XL! Though I'm saving up money for the New 3DS XL.

I'll probably have a New 3DS somewhere down the line...there's some games that are exclusively on there that I'd like to play. Link to the Past, for instance.

Which I just realized has absolutely nothing to do with time travel. You'd think it would by the title.

I can say the 2DS is very comfortable, but I really need the C-Stick for portable Smash Bros.
The Wii U gamepad isn't very portable.

Had a brief thunderstorm come through earlier. And by brief I mean here one minute and gone the next. It literally lasted less than half an hour. Nice little summer soaker. Just enough to cool it down for a few hours and perk up the grass and flowers. Summer storms always make me happy!

Living by a little historic train station, which I go past on the way to work, and this time of year I often get to see one of their old trains there. I don't get to see their over a century old steamers much (and two of the three of out of service right now - one has been under going a required inspection since 2013 and lasts over FOUR years!), but one of their two diesel trains, built in 1940, is often there during the summer.

The other day I'd left the house a few minutes late for work and was trying to hurry... then had to stop and wait for the train. lol I can forgive that one though. Kind of fun to sit and watch it cross the road, and luckily it's rather short.

I was watching the first Bay transformers film on tv with my dad and he is not that big into films and a pretty casual viewer, but he did pass off comments saying how he thought the Bayformer films were stupid and ridiculous. I don't know why, but that put a smile on my face.
