The explosion of parodies and covers of Let it Go and Do You Want To Build a Snowman? have made me try to actually AVOID Frozen. Soooo much hype.

That's understandable, Jester. After hearing so many people calling Frozen "The greatest Disney film ever!", I went in expecting something mind-blowingly good. And while I did like the movie, it didn't really live up to the hype.

Not the best argument. Does Transformers or any other number of movies need to be brought up?

How about it ties with like three other Disney movies for being the only ones that don't get incredibly boring half way through?
Forget Frozen being "overrated" or whatever other nonsense people want to talk. How about pretty much every Disney animated movie ever? The Lion King is like two songs bookended by boring sh*t. To me Aladdin ends the moment he sets foot in the palace as Ali. The Little Mermaid is a crock of sh*t except for one overused song and the priest popping a boner. The majority of the other ones are complete non-starters. Dumbo? Bambi? Tarzan? Cinderella? Jungle Book? Hunchback? 101 Dalmations? What? The Disney "classics" are all so far buried under nostalgia it's impossible for most people to see them for the boring mess they are. F*cking SNORE! I'd rather watch Toy Story 2 than watch the majority of the classic Disney movies, and Toy Story 2 is a f*cking train wreck of a sequel. |

How about Beauty and the Beast? Mulan? There are a lot of great films in the animated canon.
True. Well, I thought it was really, really great, but that's just my opinion. If someone likes Disney movies and/or broadway style musicals, I'm sure they'll love Frozen. |

101 Dalmatians and The Aristocats are my two favorite Disney movies. And I love The Lion King as well. Just because there are movies that have singing in them doesn't mean they're bad. A lot of those songs have held up over time.

Mulan is decent, because, like The Emperors New Groove, it's very snappy. It moves quickly and never stops to navel gaze. Beauty and the Beast is fine. I'm just not a huge fan.
