Filming May 13.

That's pretty soon.

I'm not buying the notion that there's a really amazing, months-old script that they've just been keeping under wraps this whole time under lock and key, so... Hmm.

We'll see.
Happens all the time. Look at the Breaking Bad movie.

I think "really amazing" is going to be the distinguishing qualifier there.

They may well have had a workable script sitting in a drawer somewhere. They probably had a bunch of 'em to choose from. But I feel like if they had a "really amazing" script, they would have filmed it two years ago, if not before.

I'unno, I guess we'll find out.

Don’t know if you saw my post on the bottom of the previous page but they’ve apparently already had auditions but maybe you already knew.

Anyway there’s no way they would have done it that soon. Things needed to calm down. Well as much as they could. Plus it’d be kinda weird to go from reboot and immediately back to a sequel.

Even the next TMNT movie needed a gap.

I meant, instead of what they did last time.

The Feig movie was, in someone's mind, "the best thing they could do".

As in, there were obviously other scripts and other ideas to consider even back then. But they chose to do exactly what they did. They considered THAT to be the project with the biggest potential upside. We all know now that it was a mistake, but they should have realized it before it even got off the ground.

If they had any "better" ideas, they would have probably run with them instead of what they went with. Thus, I'm inclined to believe that whatever this movie turns out to be is based on relatively new conversations.

Oh. Well I know Iíve mentioned it before and I know I read it. Maybe the leaks.

The studio offered Feig to do a sequel. It was Feigís choice to make it a reboot but even I wonder why the studio didnít step in on that decision.
