I don't think the movies fared well enough to inspire an animated aesthetic at this point.

I'd like to see the next iteration focus less on the same familiar beats (running to the farm, going to space, etc.) and instead create new ideas.

I'm with you on that. I honestly would like to see some willing to dive into the cancelled 4th Movie that never happened, there were some cool elements there, same for the Next Mutation series, there are some elements of that show I'd like to see adapted, such as Dragonlord. Elements that previously existed but have never actually been done well. I'd personally be all for a new series that strayed from the familiar but kept the spirit alive.

Also, no more psychic April or everything s "so metal" Casey Jones.

The new show that Playmates are getting behind is the Voltron animated series.
Looks like they will be splitting their resources across that and tmnt.

They also picked up the Ben 10 line as well if I remember correctly.

A new cartoon is a few years off yet. The Nick cartoon likely won't finish airing till 2018, then they'll probably take a break.

I don't see a fourth TMNT cartoon until 2020 or later.

I bought the Armagon figure this week. I like it! The paint application is really nice for Playmates stuff. It was only the second one I had seen on the shelf. I saw the first one a week or two ago but the paint application around his snout was a little messy, so I held out for a cleaner version.

Where are all of the 2016 Playmates Figs? Been looking months for Super Shredder and Armaggon amongst others. Hell, I still can't even find Atilla the Frog from the year prior. Seems plenty on 2014 stock everywhere though!
