Extreme sets for TMNT

Pretty excited! I got my Extreme Sets Sewer and Deranged Alley sets in today. Here's several quick iPhone pics in front of single panels.

These are great for some immersion for folks that might not have time, skill, or resources to make their own dioramas.

I do plan on making my own dios someday, but it was nice to grab these just to have SOMEthing.

They have a dojo, subway, and a building set up for preorder now as well. All pretty applicable to TMNT.

I like that Sewer one. How much did you pay for it? I have never heard of these

Looks great, but the cardboard lines are a lot more noticeable then I'd like them to be. They are a bit harder to pick out in the more busier background like the Deranged Alley's brick motif.

That's because I took pics with an obnoxious overhead room light on top of my night stand. When they are sitting on the shelf you can't notice them. It's all about the lighting!

Each set comes with about ten feet of paneling, each a different and unique part of the scene. And some panels you can fold up to make 3D parts such as the dumpsters you see my figures posed on and the concrete barrier in the sewer scene.

I'll take better pics later this week.

They do have some nice looking ones. How well made are they, I know some of them are modular and meant to be bent/folded/rearranged/re-assembled in different ways...will the material hold up well to a lot of that sort of thing?

It's just cardboard. If you assemble the 3D components, I'd suggest just leaving them that way. Just like cardboard packaging with constant shuffling and reopening, it'll get "shelf wear" over time.

If the panels go onto your shelf and don't get moved around often, they will last.

Thanks, good to know. I thought possibly they would have a thick glossy coating of some kind to help with that, or maybe be made out of a corrugated plastic or something.

They do look very nice for display and seem to be getting popular. I would use them primarily for photography so they would be shuffled around a lot.

No sets for me when I shipped my SH Figuarts, just wasn't in the budget since I want to support the Mythic lewgion 2.0 Kickstarter and I have to have some extra cash ready when Four Horsemen finds my Skeleton Armybuilder figures that got returned by the Postal system, I could get it resent of I was willing to pay shipping and the return fee.

Not trying to knock these but wouldn't it be cheaper to grab a screenshot or make something in photoshop and paste to some foamboard or something?

Cheaper, probably. But that takes time and in some cases, skill to do. This is like the quick and easy version. They ain't perfect, but if you need something in a pinch, these work pretty well.

The building idea is cool too because you can actually put figures ok too of it and it's 2 stories.

Check out their twitter page

They have a new building set coming plus a docks set. Both are perfect for TMNT!

Loving these Extreme sets! Of course, I had to modify it a little for my TMNT dio. Looks great in my alley!

Just ordered the subway set...I'm pretty excited.

@Lil Karai do the materials feel sturdy as in made to last?

Whoa! Nice modification!
Since it is thick corrugated cardboard, yes it will last, but you have to store it carefully and treat it well so the edges don't get worn.
Here's a quick shoot of my alley way. I have the Subway Terminal and The Building on order. Within the next couple months we should see the ship docks and The Building 2 (Pizzaria with a water tower on top!).

Also check out their Instagram page. Lots of great shots of TMNT by photographers far better than I....

Love this set up. The background sets are awesome. I just can't get used to the color bands on the Mirage figures though. It's to each their own. Great work. Inspires me to want to make one of my own.

Ok great. The price (to me) for just one was pushing it. Plus $17 shipping really pissed me off. I'm also spoiled from eBay deals, so....*shrugs* ...but to know that they feel of good quality in-hand gives me peace of mind...

...it would be great if you could mix-and-match your own collection instead of the ones they offer for 129.00...don't really need the transformers styled stuff.

I just need

Sewer
Deranged Alley
The Building
...and Dojo for turtle figures.
