The recoloring jobs are amazing—really nice hand-painted stuff. Both Volume Ones have the same reprints, yes, although at some points the printing quality in the larger collection looks a little better, but it's not a significant difference (I'm just a details freak).
The 8-page intro (it's the same in both books) is of April interviewing Splinter. He tells her the Turtles' and his origin stories, a short little blurb about their enemies, then says, "Let me tell you a story..." implying that everything in the book is being relayed to April. However, the standalone Volume One is the only one to have the two-page epilog, as far as I can tell; Collected Series Volume One doesn't have it, nor do the remaining three volumes, though I only flipped through them. So it seems the epilog is exclusive to the standalone Volume One, and it's a continuation of the prolog, basically just April asking some more questions, and Splinter saying something that implies further reading, heh. |

Thanks, glad I could help! I spent some time making this list from different sources, including posts here on the 'Drome, as the Turtles have appeared in some of the most obscure comics ever!

I know you may have been asked this before and I am sure it's been discussed on here but in your OP other than the 1st issue from Mirage what is prob the most rare and sought after Comic? Sorry to sound so dumb, but like I said the whole Comic thing is all new to me. Thanks again!

Rarest? Gold Turtlemania, only 10 in existence. Most sought after? That really depends on different things. Since the sale, the 2009 Collected Book is prized; just about any hard cover version is always expensive, the 2007 Tales Treasury Edition is elusive as well. Thing is, a lot of Turtle stuff was printed in low numbers so prices vary wildly.

You seem to be missing some of the RPG books.
* Mutants Down Under * Truckin' Turtles * Mutants of the Yucatan * Turtles Go Hollywood * Mutants in Avalon * Mutants in Orbit |

There are some more TMNT-related books that I know that aren't in your list. I'll add them later as I'm busy with other things right now.

Was there ever a ruling on including the TMNT magazine from Welsh? Nearly all of those contained a "Ninja Turtles Comic".
Would things like the newspaper strip or the Casey Jones webcomic meet criteria for inclusion on the list? Physical copies only? And what about the 3 issue TMNT cereal giveaway mini-comic? |

What about the Adult Only TMNT comic that Mirage put together? It never made it to retail, but it was limited to an edition of 50. Printed an bound just like a regular comic. By Bill Fitts and Steve Lavigne.

Yeah, every time I come to my thread I ponder that dang thing, Steph! I'm torn on adding it - on one hand it was an in-house production then on the other it wasn't meant to ever be released. I've been putting it off mainly because I'm not sure. I almost put it in the same category as Turtlemania...help me out guys, should I include Teenage Mutant Horny Turtles to the mix?

The webcomic was by J.B. Benivert, who also did a short or two in the Turtle Soup miniseries.
and the TMNT newspaper strip: Code:

How can I get a sticky? I overlook my own thread. :/ This is a comprehensive list for all to use though, so hopefully it'll qualify for a sticky.
