All I can say is honestly... no threads about this? Really?

I'm excited with the new additions. Now that we got the classic people out of the way (though Charlie was a surprised) now they're bringing in more obscure characters. Birdie is finally back, they announced some new guy with killer dreads and now Mika is back in the game too! I do hope they bring back even more obscure characters like Eagle and Retsu and more all-new characters too.

As a Street Fighter fan I'm obviously interested. Especially since it's not SF4 thus no focus attacks and FADC. I also wanna see how SF feels like with less charge moves.

It's also nice that it's gonna have cross-platforming. Meaning PC players can play PS4 players online and vice-versa. Hope the game has a good netcode, though.

As for future releases, I've heard that Capcom is going to stop doing it and will just release future characters in DLC format instead of going down the route of "Turbo, Champion, Arcade, Super, Hyper, Mega, Ultra editions". That kind of gimmick should have died after the SFIII series.

Eventually every SF2 character will be available, but I'm satisfied with the original release's roster. Will probably main Chun-Li or Cammy. Interested in trying Charlie out too since he's not gonna be a Guile clone this time.

Yeah, most comments here are uninformed; Capcom announced that there will only be "one" version of SFV. The game will continue to be getting DLC through out the years but all of these things will be available for free in game for players, but those who wanted could still buy it as DLC. So yeah, it'll probably be very difficult to get the "free" DLC but there won't be more versions of the game, only one version. Good move on Capcom's part.

Me personally I'm not excited to see SSFIIT+alpha guest characters+4 new characters, the fact that it's a similar art style as IV and also takes place before III, it kills my enthusiasm.

Capcom couldn't even be bothered to release the last version of SFIV (ultimate?) for the Wii U and that would've been a good platform for it to come out on since no other version was out on the Wii U and this was before the Wii U became the colossal failure. It would've sold decently.

How isn't he back from the dead? He was alive in Alpha, which was story wise before SF2. And in SF2 he's presumably dead as Guile states in his ending. The reason Guile participates in the SF2 tournament is to avenge Charlie's death who was supposedly killed by Bison. But in SFIV, he meets Abel who hints at Charlie being alive after all.

Anyway, SF has never been known for its story. It is a fighting game for people who are really into the genre unlike Mortal Kombat. It appeals to casuals too, but the thing is, SF is actually quite complex and takes time to become good at it. That leaves not so much time to write a big storyline. It's mostly there just for setting and to give each character more personality, which is quite important. A series like Virtua Fighter would have been more popular if it had at least some story. Among other things.

Ken's hair is indeed dumb. What made them think that was a good idea? Of all the things people wanted in a new Street Fighter game I doubt many wanted to see Ken with a new haircut. Talk about fixing what's not broken.

I did not expect to see Mika again, either. She was only in Alpha 3, I think. I'd rather have Karin back but Capcom doesn't own her rights so that's out of the question.

How did Capcom lose the rights to Karin? She was a pretty good staple in the Alpha series. Who owns her now?

Seeing the trailers of SFV also tells me booty sales lol. Mika with her butt slap move, and of course the Cammy upgrade in her looks. Oh yeah that suit is so tight you can see her belly button. How can Cammy get some air in something so tight, its perhaps crushing her rib cage as we speak? yeah we all expected the thong getup to return, but now we know Cammy is a innie and not a outtie.

I don't think they've ever owned her rights in the first place. She was created by someone else for a Street Fighter manga about Ryu and Sakura. So I guess for her to get into a Street Fighter game they need permission from her creator and I guess neither party could reach to an agreement.

Well what's really noticeable about Cammy's design is that she was given bigger boobs, which is odd considering she's always been a thin and petite woman. Big boobs don't really fit her.
