Nelson, I think your artwork is truly amazing, and I mean no offense to your work when I say that the eyeball popping out is over the top. It's just my opinion anyway, and I thought it was over the top even before I read Laird's comments.
The eyeball strikes me as trying too hard to be gorey and just unnecessary. It's something you'd see on a blacklight poster or something, it just doesn't jive well with Turtles...at least in my opinion. I know the book is gorey to begin with. But over the top is over the top... |

If I wanted to do that I'm sure I could get that across pretty clear, lol. It was more intended to be a sense of design and exaggeration. Mine just finished downloading!

I left the bubble in the corner of my pages (7, also, there was a letter left out of a panel on page 7. I don't have the file in front of me so I don't recall the word at the moment.

I think it's ironic that Laird admitted he was hoping for a more creative reinterpretation of the layouts as opposed to a shot-for-shot remake, since I remember there was a minor disagreement on the original thread about how much freedom the fan artists ought to have in their redesigns.
For my page, eh, looking back at it I'm really bothered by all that blank space. I just wasn't too comfortable on messing with background elements at the time, I suppose. If I could do it over again, I'd probably add a lot of little homages in my last panel.

I'd really love to see this, but everytime I try and open it in "notepad" my computer freezes. Is there a file name I can change it to after I download it, or a different way to download it all together? I'm not very computer savy...

What does everyone think about adding real names to the last page along with forum names? Shall we take it to a poll? -ms |

I say let's do it; I signed my pages anyway so my name's there for all to see but a little annotation at the end with our real names would be cool.

I'm happy enough with putting my real name in.
Hey Powder, was just thinking, did you send a link over to Kevin Eastman?
