I wholeheartedly agree.

If they keep this up, there will be an animation crash.

It's like Disney Same Face!
(I'm usually okay with the animation style being less impressive so long as the writing holds up. And while I can't speak to the 'toons on the right, the ones on the left have some of the best storytelling I've seen in cartoons.)

Thank god Young Justice Season 3 is coming out late this year (or early next year). I need to watch a quality western action cartoon again.

Generic art-style is off putting but I don't know I think this could be fun.

Looks like a cute and fun show. Hopefully it'll be popular enough to get the ThunderCats Classics license going faster.

It could also pave the route for a "traditional" show in a few years after this show is over or a movie. The 2011 show, the 2011 toyline, the Bandai Classics Toy Line and the Mattel Classic Toylines were either cancelled/short lived/bombed so the future of the franchise didn't look good, this is likely the only pitch that made sense to try to revive the property.

Personally not the type of tone I'd go for but it is Thundercats and I do enjoy Teen Titans Go so I will check it out.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Oh... my god. It doesn't even feel like it could be a real thing, rather like they've got to just be trolling Thundercats fans SUPER hard. Mind blown, but not in a good way. If this LAZY crap is really what's so "popular" in the industry right now, wtf.

Do they all have the same teacher that is just teaching students this style and nothing else?? Is it a lack of talent in schools these days, but hey if you do THIS, which is as easy as we can make it, it's a win?

That video...

"I grew up watching Thundercats, my older brothers were super into it." So I decided to grow up and piss them off by effing it over completely! Huzzah!

I mean, talk about a chance to stick it to a sibling if you get to work on a franchise they once loved, or, better yet, still do.

If I had an older sibling that had a big hand in screwing up TMNT, be it things I'm hating about "Rise" or if it had become that crap we saw as shorts that looks like this... Yeah, very possible that the relationship might be rather strained for a while.

I loved the 2011 show and was crushed that it died after one season. I think it had two things working against it: low toy sales and the inexplicable bias that Cartoon Network had against WB Animation shows that also affected DC superheroes (Young Justice, Beware the Batman, etc.) and Scooby Doo Mystery Inc.

Holy cow, I never noticed how identical that face was. Does the internet have a slang name for it yet?

Are there ANY action cartoons even on the air right now?

The only ones I could think of are the ones that just ended, like Nick's TMNT, Star Wars Rebels, Samurai Jack's final season, or Young Justice. And Justice League Action was just recently confirmed canceled after just 1 season too.

WTF.

Until Young Justice Season 3 comes, the next Star Wars cartoon, or Rise of the TMNT...there are no action shows anymore.

I haven't seen Big Hero 6: The Series, but it does look cool. Also, the English dub on Dragonball Super airs "new episodes" on Cartoon Network Saturday nights.

I don't give a **** about change of Baxter.
I like that characters and backgrounds looked much more detailed and while some of the episodes were animated like **** others looked much better. Not this semi-flash vomit that plagues everything nowadays.
Also, I don't care about violence.

You literally always take the time to complain about progressives but now you say you dont give a ****. Also find me an example where a 80s tv show had fluid animation that isnt from the intro

1) TMNT is pretty good example of good animation in some episodes. For example Season 1.
2) I am not obsessed, so I am capable of not giving a **** if I don't feel like it.

Oh please if this was anything else you would go on a long tirade on how progressives are ruining everything but because this is a cartoon from your childhood you let it slide.

Oh my, my dear poor leftie friend, how low you think of me...I am finding it very funny. I almost want you to make even more wild accusation about me, just to have fun at your expense.

And no, I wouldn't go on a tirade since in original comic book Baxter was black.
Does it answer your question?
