Art.

I think I have enough stuff (that I'm at least somewhat proud of) by now to make a thread out of it. I'm pretty modest when it comes to my art, but I can certainly take criticisms; in fact, I welcome them. If there's something you don't like or something you feel I can improve on, please say it! I'm always looking to improve, and I'll appreciate honesty over flattery.

A bunch of old Pokemon drawings (from 2012):

Pokemon cosplaying as Sonic characters (also from 2012):

Dude, that figure drawing absolutely KILLS - I like your other work too but that one really speaks to me (in an emotional way, not a pervy way). Two thumbs up - and hey, if you do any more "mature-rated" drawings, you're more than welcome to post it in the AD section for feedback. I'd love to see you take on some more figure sketches (incidentally, those are always good for generating extra income as well, should you ever need it - I used to pose for some life-drawing classes back when, so PM me if you want to pick my brain for info on the buyers' market for that style).

Thank you very much! Wasn't expecting such powerful feedback on that one. There's a chance I'll do more of those in the future, but I enjoy making non-realistic art a lot more than that type of stuff...the only reason I was open to doing it in the first place was because it was a requirement for school, but I did more or less learn to enjoy it.

Really awesome art work. How long have you been studying art at school?? just curious.
Good job on everything and especially coloring. Usually you see a person either be really good at Line art or someone thats really good at Coloring/Inking but you have a good handle on both it looks like impressive to say the least.

I am curious do you do traditional pencil and paper with marker/ water color or do you do digital as well???

I'm a junior in college and I've been an art major for 5 of my 6 semesters here. So a little over 2 years. I draw everything traditionally, but sometimes I'll do the coloring digitally. Everything in this thread up until Treecko was digitally colored, aside from the 2012 Pokemon & figure drawing. Treecko onward was colored with markers. I've never bothered with watercolors lol.

Wow 2 years is definitely a commitment, I got burned out after taking 1 art class lol.

Another question, bc I am trying to learn to color do you use Photoshop for digital and Copic for the markers???

Yes and yes. I actually used GIMP for the digital ones, but that's basically the same thing as Photoshop.
