Which DCU figure is the base for Shredder?

It's a DCSH Superman. The head does look a touch small... but then the heads on DC figures tend to be kinda small anyway, so I'm thinking it might work for that style? I do have some larger Shredder heads (I've got tons of Shredder heads), and the figure just looks weird to me with those.

You are going to have a B-A video game styled figure collection when you're done. Every new custom you post I hear a voice in the back of my head say "Gotta get the parts to do that one." Awesome work! Do you have any plans to do the chainsaw wielding Hockey mask wearing bad guys from the first NES Ninja Turtles? I always called those guys Jason Vorhees from the Friday the 13th series.

Your 2003 Shredder turned out super nice. I imagine he's saying something like "It's all about toning you chunky midget". I never wanted a more articulated new toon Shredhead but after seeing yours it has become a must. Playmates git r done!

Thanks, guys! Here's the combo image with recipe etc:

Recipe:

Body is DCSH Superman with DCUC Nightwing forearms (I think; they were stray pieces in a fodder lot from a friend and I just wanted to get them out of the way)
Head, shoulder armor, hands, and belt/skirt from 2K3 Shredder
Forearm armor from Slice 'n' Dice Shredder
Shin armor from 1988 Shredder

Comments:

My main goal with this one was to differentiate it from my Cyber Shredder custom (not pictured because I've disassembled and partly repainted him for no good reason; I'm OCD like that). For that one I used mostly drybrushing, so here I went with a lot of heavy washes and minor drybrushing for blending on some parts. It should have been a quick and easy custom, but I repainted the pieces way more times than necessary (again, OCD) because I kept thinking I wanted stuff to look different. The skirt was the worst offender -- I did that central/rear strip at least three different ways before settling on this one. The holes aren't very deep, so the detail was barely noticeable with a proper wash -- so I basically painted the holes individually with darker wash droplets. Kind of a sloppy look, but I think I like it best this way... or at least that's what I'll tell myself to keep from spending another 10+ hours on those areas alone. (Including the side portions, I easily spent more time on the skirt than the rest of the figure combined. Ugh.)

Anyway, it's done. Next custom please. x_x

The last one I finished was a Foot Ninja... the next one probably will be as well. (Well, technically the last one I finished was a Smurf, but I didn't post that here because it's not TMNT!) Unless I finish that red-clad Shredder instead...
